Absolutely the best book! Mar 02, 2006
By Jo Anne Schram This book is absolutely the best for making home made dog biscuits! I own 5 dog cookbooks and this by far is the best! Show your dog you love them by making them homemade biscuits! You know the ingredients are fresh and your dog will sit by the oven waiting for those hot biscuits to come out! (but let them cool off first no matter how they give you those dog eyes!)

Fun for you and your pooch! Jun 07, 2005
By Shannon Wilkinson What a great book! Not only is it full of easy to make recipes for dog treats, but it also includes additional, helpful information to improve your dog's health and well-being.
I've made a number of the treats and they are a big hit with my dog (and cats too -- don't tell!). I especially like the sections on grain-free treats, and recipes for dogs with special needs. The recipes are simple, and even stand up to an ingredient substitution or two if necessary. I can't imagine ever bringing home store-bought treats again!

Good book, good book Apr 26, 2006

Really nice book on making dog treats from scratch. The graphics are a bit odd being people with various dog heads doing various chores. But if you're looking for a book with a nice variety of treat recipes this is a good one. About half of the recipes sound good enough to eat (the ones sans liver) for myself, like Pumpkin Drop Cookies and Apple Bran Muffins. And just about everything can easily be obtained at your local grocery with maybe a few ingredients needing to be found at the health food market. But you can make 85% of the recipes in the book just from 1 trip to the local grocery store if the ingredient isn't already sitting on your pantry shelf.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! Apr 22, 2005
By spud mom What a find! Tons of great recipes (even my husband enjoyed the Blue Cheese Walnut Training Treats) that are clear and easy to follow. The book is written with wit and intelligence and is filled with all sorts of related and valuable information. I love that Ms. Adams recognizes her readers would prefer to be enjoying time with their animals rather than fussing around with complicated recipes -- she offers up some terrific time-saving tips. And the inclusion of recipes targeted for animals with special dietary needs makes this the perfect gift book for anyone who loves their animals. To top it off, the book is beautifully designed and illustrated. This is a really terrific book and I'm so glad I found it!

Great Eats for Dogs! Feb 22, 2006
By Aimee Amodio Some of the recipes in here taste pretty good to people, too! My brother ate as many peanut butter treats as the dogs did... maybe more! A great range of recipes, from simple no-bake ones to more complicated efforts.
