Decent knife but did not last me long .... Aug 07, 2008
By Igor I bought this knife a couple of years ago and enjoyed using it for a while. The blade kept a sharp edge but the serrations on the inner edge would sometimes cut my thumb as I released the lock bar to close the blade. They were like little razor blades. Eventually, the knife jambed open and when I attempted to repair that the knife fell apart and I chucked it.
Winchester knife Mar 17, 2012
By Howdy Nice knife. I used this for a Christmas gift so I really don't know how it will perform. Quality and its ability to last is questionable.
Great knife! Feb 17, 2012
By Anthony J I bought this knife to replace my previous every-day-carry and must say that I an very pleased with it. It is extraordinarily well-crafted for the price I paid for it (twelve bucks) and outdoes most knives I've paid much more for. It arrives with a nice, sharp edge and the pocket clip works great for keeping track of it.
great edge good price my 6 year old boy can operate it Feb 15, 2012
By Ben Mccumby My 6 year old boy has big brothers with knives and they are in scouts. So little bro wanted his own knife to whittle and have around camp. Under adult supervision of course! and Dad keeps it nice and tidy for him safley stored out of reach. But on to the nitty gritty. this really is a pretty little knife for the money. good edge. I even tried it out in my throwing target and stuck it pretty well no damage to the point or blade. That is pretty abusive and this cheap knife held up. The action is easy and the thumb screw on the blade helps my little guy get ahold of it well for easy operation. If you're looking for a cheap knife then this is it... you don't really care if it get ruined or lost and it looks good enough for adults to pack as a pocket knife with the clip on the side. it would work well for the ladies or anyone else with smaller hands...it looks like a barbie toy in my hulk hands as I can barely get three fingers on the handle. but hey some people like it small. Overall very happy I gave the boy a box of bandaids in the giftwrap too. Like the scouts say...be prepared...lol this baby is sharp from the factory.
Great knife for the money Oct 14, 2010
By DM I love this knife. I can't remember how long I have had it but I do know that I got it as a set (small folding knife came along with it) when it first came out. I have no bad things to say about this knife at all. Mechanically, it has been a sound knife with no problems for nearly 10 years (like I said I am not 100% sure how long I have had it). The locking mechanism is great and smartly placed on the knife. The blade is surgical stainless and has held up beautifully for as long as I have had it. It does need sharpening as of now but that is only because I use the heck out of it. Besides my Victorinox multitool, it is my most used knife. A daily carry for as long as I have had it. The wood inlays have held up through the years without even a split or crack. The pocket clip is strong and securely fastened to the knife. One thing I wish Winchester would have done differently is a larger lanyard hole at the bottom of the knife, it is JUST large enough for 550 paracord with very little playing room at all.
