5Quality Binos  Sep 16, 2009
By Jerry D. Murphree
It is a shame that nobody seems to be aware of this brand of binoculars. When considering best value, I would seriously look at Weaver before paying a nickel more for Nikon or Bushnell, etc. This company is well known for high end rifle scopes (check out their website) and they are not cheap, to say the least. Depending where on the web you look these binoculars can be about double the current price on amazon (as of 9/16/09, about $88). I paid $74 a month or so ago and that was a steal for this level of quality. Note these are Made in Japan, rugged, solid feeling, "instrument" level binoculars. If you've handled and struggled with using the "toy" binoculars, then these will be literally a revelation. They focus precisely and the clarity is fantastic. You can't believe how much difference compared with junk equipment, trust me. You do get what you pay for and if these are selling for less than $80 or so, I'd not hesitate -- that is a true bargain. The case is nothing special at all, the money obviously was put into the optics instead. I am OK with that, and I replaced the strap with a wider neoprene type, but the weight is not bad, so most won't feel this necessity I'm sure. Lifetime guarantee, but I've not tested the customer service and hope I don't have to ever do that. But the scope end of the business is very well established -- not some minor player. I suspect these may be one of the best binoculars for the money out there, regardless of brands (at least with amazon's current pricing.)
