Great product! Oct 12, 2007
By N. Toepfer This product realy works! We have been infested with ticks each summer. I ordered this collar and it really works. It took about 2 weeks for all the ticks to die off of our dogs entire body. This product is great! I will be using it every summer!

Tick Prevention May 12, 2007
By Susan Widdersheim Started using this product a year ago after battling brown dog tick infestation of both my dog and home. After eradicating all ticks, I have used this product on my Yorkie with complete success. I would strongly recommend this product to all dog owners.

This collar works. Apr 29, 2008
By Loren I have been using Preventic tick collars on our dogs for over ten years. This is the only collar I have found that actually works against ticks.
It is not effective against fleas, but absolutely controls ticks.

Stopped Tick Infestation in Home Aug 19, 2010
By Smile High
"Smile High"
Upon returning home from vacation I discovered the dog and my home infested with brown dog ticks. I would kill a dozen ticks a day that I discovered climbing the walls or wandering the tile floor. My vet's assistant recommended this collar and it works great. My dog had been covered with two dozen ticks and was going nuts. I shaved the dog, removed the existing ticks with a tweezers (pull straight out without any fancy gyrations, Vaseline, or match touching), then I put the collar on him as directed. Within about a day the ticks were no longer biting him. If they got on him they didn't latch on.
Other ideas: 1) Give a small quantity of milk thistle to your dog daily to protect his liver whenever this collar or any spot-on flea/tick treatments are used. 2) Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. I found indoor fumigators to be a disappointment at killing ticks, but vacuuming gets ticks and the little nymphs, as well. Place the vacuum bag in a zip-lock bag when done, or the ticks will just crawl out! I toss my vacuum bag in a zip-lock bag and then in the freezer to be sure. 3) If your dog goes for a swim or gets a bath be sure to take off the collar ahead of time and realize that the water has cleansed his skin of some protection. It takes the better part of a day for the dog to regain his protection from this collar after the dog has gone swimming. The dog figured this out and curtailed his swimming on his own while the infestation was raging.
This collar is less-toxic than the spot-on products and it is extremely effective at protecting your dog.

Best Tick Collar For Dogs Apr 07, 2009
By Lea Winfield I've used this tick collar for years as it was reccommended by my dog's vet, and from the time it is put on my dog's neck I do not see a tick. And my dog is a dog that loves the woods but sleeps with us so we check him closely.
