This helmet was just the thing I was looking for! I did not want something plastic and shiny, but I also did not want any of the super expensive eventing helmets. I'm more of a Western style, even though I ride English, so this helmet was a good hybrid. It is lightweight and the screens are awesome for keeping tree debris and bugs out while I'm riding. The visor is well made and flexible so I do not have to worry about breaking it, while the suede and canvas topping is easy to clean and looks great, even in the show ring. I've always worn and love Troxel helmets; this one was no exception. I would definitely recommend this to other riders.

excellent riding helmet....comfortable... well-vented for airflow...visor provides nice sun "block"...i am most pleased with my purchase and would recommend this troxel style for any style rider, western or english, in the arena or out on the trail....enjoy!

I ordered 2 of these helmets and had them delivered to a dude ranch where we rode for a week. They are a good looking helmet with nice details; a ranch wrangler liked them so much she bought them both from us when we left!
They are very well ventilated & cool. Even after 4 hour rides in the Sonoran Desert 80*F winter days, neither of us sweated in them or found them hot at all. They are also light-weight. We aren't used to wearing them (had never ridden before) but didn't feel them on our heads. We found the straps easy to adjust to keep the helmet snug on our heads yet comfortable.
Highly recommended! Well priced, and besides - what's $100 to keep your head dent-free??!!

I had this hat delivered to a ranch when I came over from the uk for a holiday. It took some time to get the adjustment correct but is now really lightweight and comfortable. Even my husband (used to very correct British black velvet hats) is impressed with it's looks. I now feel it is a much safer hat to ride in.
