The matbreaker tool that these blades fit into is the best tool we've found for breaking up mats in our cats. We have two matbreakers, with the blades of one "right-handed" and of the other "left-handed." It's great that the blades are reversible and replaceable. The only problem we had was that the actual act of blade replacement was somewhat difficult and required a lot of strength.

We have a Maltese with very fine hair that matts up when she plays alot. The matbreaker works fast and safely removes matted hair with ease.

My Persian-mix MuffinStuff loves to be brushed sometimes but at other times I cannot get to the areas that mat the most. That can cause some really bad mats: Enter Matbreaker - my hero! She is still in a mood of not wanting to be brushed, but when she is in a deep sleep, I can get one mat out at a time with this. It does a great job and having this means she wont be needing to have those areas shaved and that is a win-win for everyone.

Nice product. Workes as stated and is the right size for Cats. I have used it on my short and long haired cats with no problum. It cuts through mats with out any chance of harming my kittys.
