Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RUNEZWHPZSFA4 While not a miracle product, when paired with good training this is an excellent tool and my wife and I have used it very successfully in helping our rescue dog deal with separation anxiety. I threw this video review together quickly with some hidden camera footage of our dog before and after treatment - we were very pleased with the results and we hope that they in some way will help you make your decision! Works Good but dosage needs to be adjusted Jun 16, 2011

I used this for my lab mix when traveling to Japan and I have to say that it worked very well for what it was intended for. The reason for the 4 stars is because although it works, it took several tries to see what the right dosage for my dog would be. They give recommended doses based on weight but it did not work the first couple of times I gave it to my dog and I had to figure it out myself (safely of course). When used 1hr. prior to a stressful situation and the right dosage it helps my dog to stop salivating and panting so much and eases the excessive whining.

This is the second time I've tried this medicine, and the most it did for my 65 pound Golden Retriever was take the edge off, if that. He still runs around hiding and destroying things he is too big to hide under. The reason why I got this in the first place was because he dug a hold in the bathroom through the wallpaper, and destroyed the wooden molding on the door until he was bleeding. I didn't have time to give it to him to early with these summer storms giving no warning at all, but I would think it would kick in sometime in the middle of the storm that lasted an hour. I think I'm going to try buying something in pill form and see if that works. It was just too hard to give this medicine to my dog, and if I put it in a bowl to pour down his throat, I'm not sure how much he is actually getting with the sticky formula sticking to the bottom of the bowl.

We have used this product in the past. When we ran out I went to many pet stores trying to find it. I could not find it anywhere. So I bought a different brand from PetsMart. Our Freckles did not like the taste or smell as compared to Synergy Pet Calm she loves it. Needless to say the stuff I bought did not work for her and we had a very long night trying to keep her calm due to the thunder storms we were having.

I recommend this product to every animal person I meet (which is a lot because I'm big into animal rescue). I bought this on the recommendation of a PetCo worker because they didn't have any PAP collars at my location (small store). My senior rescue Pommie had severe anxiety and would pee on my kitchen floor when I would leave her alone without fail, even if I was only gone an hour. I couldn't crate her because I'd come home to a crate of poo (even on my walls and in her upsidedown water bowl!) and she would bark like crazy. This drops stopped her anxiety. No more accidents on the floor, just give her one drop before I leave (sometimes literally RIGHT BEFORE I left, not the 30 min advanced like they recommend) and she was a perfect angel. I love this product because I only had to use it when I left, not every day (like a PAP collar). The bottle lasted me a couple months til I was halfway through. I actually stopped giving it to my dog and she was fine. I think having gone a couple months anxiety free (thanks to the drops) got her able to do it on her own, which was great! I gave the drops to a friend for his anxious dog -- I wish I had them now because my foster dog is anxious, but oh well, have to buy some more tomorrow!
If you're on the fence about this product, buy it. It's totally worth it. It literally worked a miracle on my dog.. and my sanity!
