5A Must Have for our birds  Feb 02, 2008

We have birds in our yard that we have rarely seen before, and they come several times a day just to feast on THIS suet. We have used suet for a long time, but not just any suet will attract these birds. The change in the number and type of regular birds came about when we changed over to Stokes peanut suet. We have a red-bellied woodpecked that flies in several times a day to get his fill. We have male and female harry woodpeckers that enjoy the suet. All of our birds love it, and the suet is important for a bird's diet in the winter time.

I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys watching and taking care of birds.

Even though it's labeled "Peanut" suet, "Peanuts" are the third ingredient after cracked corn. It's low quality stuff. I'm returning my order unopened. I'm also returning the "High Energy Suet", which is the same low quality.

they love it & want me to order more! I've 3 bird feeders from stokes & lost the top screw on one during last winter's BIG storm, called stokes & they replaced it ASAP & at no charge. excellent company!
