This is a great little clicker Jul 18, 2010 It's loud enough and the button makes it much easier to use than the clickers I've used in the past. Plus it fits nicely in the palm of my hand, though I did add a wrist strap to make it even more user friendly.
Aside from not coming with a wrist strap (and hey, at that price I wouldn't really complain) the only problem is it occasionally gets stuck in the pressed-in position and won't out-click. This problem is solved easily enough by pressing through the opening under the button to de-press the clicker. To do this you need some sort of slender, pointy object like a screwdriver or a knife. After that it works like a charm again.
My favorite clicker Jul 14, 2010 This clicker is LOUD and comfortable to hold. Unlike the cheaper 'boxy' ones you can get at your local pet store, there is no question which side is the clicker side on this one.
I also prefer it over the "Karen Pryor i-click" clickers because this one feels more comfortable in my hand.
The only downside? It's $3.99 as opposed to a buck or two.
different sound Jul 13, 2010 The sound is a little different and that is a good thing. Used with a dog who has too much improper timing with another sound as well as a sound sensitive dog. It is a soft click.
basic clicker....fun colors Jul 12, 2010 Clicker training is great if you can commit to it (great training videos on utube) and this clicker is easy to spot across the room.....i admit, i totally bought it for the color :) Some people I know have added it to a lanyard so they won't lose it.....I'm not that coordinated yet!
Good clicker, but a little flimsy feeling May 12, 2010 I have started to really like this clicker. It is indeed very easy to press and not too loud. I always prefer the button style clickers for their accuracy although I have used the box-style in the past. With the button there are a lot of advantages.
1. Greater ability to click on time
2. Never miss a click because you try to click on the wrong side
3. Generally somewhat quieter than box clickers
4. You can click with things other than you fingers like your feet, palm, etc. when you need both hands
Personally I also think that you're less likely to lose these types of clickers because you spent a little extra money on them and because you love them so much.
Starmark vs. i-Click
The only downside to this clicker, and ultimately the reason I prefer the i-click over this one is that this clicker just feels a bit flimsy. It has not broken (although I have not had it that long), but you can easily feel the line in the plastic. Also although it is very slightly lighter than an i-click, it also has a larger surface area. An advantage is that the button does not stick out as much and so is less likely to be pressed on accident.
