Good Enough Aug 21, 2011

I tend to be pretty rough on gloves. I don't set out to abuse them deliberately. However, I don't have the kind of lifestyle where a groom presents my horse to me immaculately groomed and fully tacked. If I want my horse to look like he should be called Snowball instead of Mudball, I'm the one wielding the shedding blade and curry comb.
I got a pair of these gloves two years ago, in light blue. They fit beautifully and molded to my hands like a second skin. They were about as comfortable in extremely warm weather as any gloves are going to be. However, they weren't perfect.
First, what on earth was I thinking getting light blue? They made it about two days before a patina of sweat, dog slobber, green horse spit, and fly spray turned them an unappealing shade of blue-grey. Accidentally sending them through the wash in the pocket of my jacket cleaned them up a bit, but they never really looked nice. Buy these gloves in a dark shade unless your lifestyle includes grooms.
Second, you don't want to apply Show Sheen to your horse's tail and comb it out while wearing these gloves. The gloves will become almost unusably slippery until the Show Sheen wears off. Duh, kind of obvious, but I do stupid things early in the morning.
Finally, the band around the wrist eventually stretched out and never recovered. The fault may lie with the accidental trip through the wash (though they were line dried afterwards.) The fault may be due to numerous accidental and intentional applications of fly spray and Deep Woods Off. Maybe they didn't appreciate caustic sweat from a few sticky hot days when every garment I wore looked like I'd marched through a garden sprinkler. Who knows? I just know the wrists got floppy after a while.
The gloves finally died just about on their second birthday. The stitching on the right thumb pulled out, and a day or two later I pushed my left thumb through the tip. I don't really hold their demise against them. I was pretty hard on them. It's not their fault they were intended for a slightly more gentle life than the one I gave them.

very stylish& comfortable Jun 20, 2011
By Charlene Sosa I love my new gloves. These gloves are lovely to look at, they are comfortable. My hands do not sweat in them, the leather is soft and durable. The beautifully crocheted pink knit makes these gloves amazingly stylish. Great price for excellent workmanship. I use these gloves for driving to protect my skin from wrinkles and age spots. I am very happy with this product, I want to purchase them in all colors.
Light cool glove Apr 16, 2012
By lazulichris I live in southern Az. so a light ventilated glove is a must. These are a good basic knitted glove that fasten securely . I've not had them long so don't know how well they'll hold up to use and washing. The main issue I had was getting gloves that fit. I wear a size 9 in all other gloves I've gotten. In this glove, I had to order a 10 to get a proper fit-the 10 fit perfectly.

By Steve I bought for my wife for Christmas. She specified the SSG gloves and they fit perfect. Shipped as promised. Will order the same when these wear out.
