Doesn't work for big dogs Apr 29, 2008

I have a big goofy Doberman & I am constantly searching for a bowl that will stop huge spills the sizes of a lake on my floor. I misunderstood this bowl's definition I suppose. I imagine it doesn't spill meaning that if you don't want the bowl to move & shake - that works. But, if you have a dog with a mile long tongue and think it will stop the water from spilling over...ha, ha, ha, ha to you and me. ***Also, kind of hard to clean because (imagine that) it's hard to get all the water out to clean the bowl. May be I'm not all that bright. In the meantime, I'm still looking for the magic bowl that will work for my situation.

Hard to Clean Under Rim Nov 07, 2007
By BT-5 Works fine. Does as advertised, isn't as easily tipped as a flat metal bowl.
But it has a molded, hollow rim, so that the overlapping rim has a scooped out underside that requires extra time cleaning and you can't really see if you got out any bits or mold that might have gathered there. Or if a strange bug might be lurking there.
You'd need a bend-able periscope camera or scope to view under it, sort of like what they use in colonoscopys.
Takes longer to rinse out the soapy water because it keeps catching in the thick overhanging rim.

I have conquered the kitty(ies)! Mar 09, 2007

Ahhhh, no more water all over the floor. It's a perfect design for this...however the only flaw is emptying it out to clean it...it's virtually impossible to get all the water and floaties out without taking a towel or rag to it...otherwise...NO KITTY can topple this one!

OK product Jan 20, 2009

This bowl has it's merits. It does cut down on the spills on the floor. It would be an awesome product if the top came off for cleaning. It is a real pain to try and clean and get all the dirty water out because of the lip. I have to take about 20 minutes cleaning it in the sink every time.
Love this water bowl May 10, 2011
By M. Hardin I keep my new Chihuahua puppy in a doggy playpen and I let him have alittle water in this bowl and there has never been a mess to clean up for it! Great design and wonderful product!
