5Works well.  Aug 31, 2008
By N. Whetstone "Crazy Cat Lady"
This product was recommended to me by my cats' veterinarian, who said they used it in the clinic for cats they need to get urine and feces samples from that are nervous about using a strange litterbox. One of my kitties preferred the basement's cement floor to the litter box, and it was becoming a pretty nasty problem. The previous owner of the house kept her cat imprisoned in the basement all the time and the poor cat went on the floor so much the whole house reeked of cat urine when we bought it (partly why we got such a good deal on the house). This odor, despite our removal of the carpet and scrubbing and painting of the cement floor, although we could not smell it anymore, still attracted our most persnickety kitty to use the basement as her personal potty. Of course, you have to follow the directions on the enclosed booklet, and make sure the mess is cleaned up very well with white vinegar or a commercial product designed for removal of pet odors. It's the smell that leads them back to the wrong places again and again. After cleaning my kitty's potty areas thoroughly, I only had to use this product for a few days to get the desired effect. She has used the litter boxes ever since, and it has been a month. I highly recommend Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant.

5~*~*~BAD KITTY TO GOOD KITTY ~ TIPS ON WHAT WORKED FOR MY CAT~*~*~  Feb 09, 2010
By Mommy of Cuties M & Z "Mom of Twins"
I've had my cat(named Kitty) for 10 years so when he started using our house as a litter box I was pretty upset. I changed his litter all the time, re-arranged the furniture and he just kept peeing on everything: our couch, our dogs bed, his own bed, rugs, towels, xmas tree skirt. No item was in the same spot, he just wasn't peeing in his box although he was pooping in his box. He has had many urinary tract infections in the past so I know what to look for and he didn't have one. Since I have 15 month old twin daughters and refuse to let them grow up in a "cat pee" house we decided to take Kitty to our local shelter. After crying my eyes out all night, the next day I did ONE more search to try to fix his problem. On one of the websites someone mentioned using Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant so I immediatly went to Amazon to check out reviews. I told my husband that I wanted to order the product and give that a try before we took him to the pound.

So here is EXACTLY what we did that fixed our cats problem
1st-we ordered this Cat Attractant
2nd-took him to the vet. He did not have a UTI or any other problems that would cause him to pee outside his box. My vet said to switch from our covered litter box to an open litter box because cats don't like being in an enclosed box. We just took the top off of the litter box and he said to empty all of the litter and clean the litter box with vinegar/water. He said that the idea situation would be to use dirt from outside because a cat would love it but there is no way to clean that so to get a natural type of litter. He said to clean the litter box everyday if we could, or every other day. Also to buy another litter box so we had 2.
3rd-the Cat Attractant showed up and we had cleaned his box with the litter and put his old litter back in since we hadn't been to the store. I actually only sprinkled a little bit of this on top of his litter...I did NOT use anywhere near the amount the container says to use. I literally used about 1/4 cup or less-sprinkled on TOP of his litter. I kept one of his litter boxes where it had been and put another litter box in a new location. Within 10 minutes my cat was in the new location, sniffing and then scratching around the litter and he PEE'd in the box!
4th-we got him some natural cat litterArm & Hammer Essentials Natural Clumping Litter, 10.5-Pounds it is really fine & natural clumping and has a nice smell. My cat really seemed to love that. And I've been scooping his box everynight or every other night. He's not pee'd outside of his litter box since.

I definately think the Cat Attract helped to get him to his litter box and that the other things helped him to keep going to his litter box. I'm so Thankful that I decided to try this and did the other things because I love my Kitty.

I really recommend the Arm & Hammer Natural litter as well. It is the best clumping litter I have ever used and my cat LOVES it. It also never smells like pee.

5My cat had been defecating outside the box for months. This product ended that!  Feb 20, 2009
By J. POUNDS "JP"
I cannot thank the makers of this product enough. My cat, Omelette, had been defecating outside the litter box for months -- and sometimes urinating. It was a frustrating experience for all of us. We tried training her, we tried having more than 1 litter box, we tried different kitty litters, nothing worked.

Well, someone recommended this and the Litter Attractant kitty litter. I thought it'd be expensive to get the special litter so I only got this. I also sprinkled a little over the top to start with instead of mixing in 1/4 the bottle like the instructions said -- I figured if the smell was the "attractant", then the bit on the top was enough since it's a strong smell.

Lo and behold, Omelette started pooping in the box. I sprinkle in a bit more every week or so, and still haven't used up the original bottle I bought. It's saved our sanity!

3Cat Attract - Sort-of  May 29, 2009
By Janine Witte "JANE W"
I have adopted a loveable stray cat, who was used to doing his business entirely outdoors. I wanted to train him to use an indoor pan, so I bought Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant. This product did attract my cat to the litter pan - but it was more of a curiosity to him. He'd sniff it and then just sit near the pan and purr.

I actually had to "harvest" some of my outdoor cat's own waste material from his favorite dirt spot outside and add that to his litter pan. That worked. He's now fully trained.

This product may be good for cats already used to using a litter pan (or for kittens), but for cold start training on an outdoor cat, it was only moderately effective.

5Attracts cats to the litterbox and encourages them to dig around  Aug 21, 2008
By me
I have used this product for various foster cats and kittens who have issues with using the litter box (often because they never learned). After first ruling out any potential medical causes for your cat's troubles, try adding this to *plain unscented* clumping clay litter. There are very few litter brands that are actually unscented - many times I have purchased "unscented" varieties only to open the bag and smell perfume! Dr Elsey's Precious Cat litter, Premium Choice Unscented, and Better Way unscented are the only ones I have found to be truly unscented. Scented litter will make your cat avoid the box and also masks the smell of the attractant.

When I add this powder to the litter, all my cats come over and want to dig in the box. Digging in the box encourages them to "go" while they are there. It works like a charm!
