Not a bad product, just not as good as I'd hoped. Sep 14, 2011

This stuff does clump hard, I'll give it that. But the end result is that it clings to the litter box like a spurned lover. Dust control is good, but to be honest, it's about the same as most of the high-end clays I've tried. Odor control is average, which means that if you get the solids out of the box in a reasonable amount of time, you don't need a gas mask to go about your business. Tracking? About the same as any other. In short, it's as good as most other high-end clay litters, but not nearly as good as I'd hoped based on the reviews here.
Look, I always take naysayers with a grain of salt, so feel free to do so with my review, and try the litter yourself; it's not like you're buying a car or a dishwasher. But you need to ask yourself if you really need to be spending half again to twice again as much for this stuff as litters that are just as good.

Awesome litter May 05, 2011
By M. I have a cat with mild asthma and look for a litter to help reduce triggers, but that also doesn't drive me crazy.
This is by far and away the best: 1. Low dust- even when pouring the bag out, there is very little dust in the air and it settles quickly. 2. Low track- the small mat I have outside the litter box grabs everything, and what is there, is very limited. 3. Easy to scoop- I have one cat, and easy to scoop is a big requirement, I like being in and out of there fast. 4. No added perfume or "unscented" additives, and no smell created by the litter it's self as it interacts with waste- it doesn't have any weird smells, and the cat is happy (no coughing). Cats don't need perfume. 5. Inexpensive for the time it lasts- one bag a little over two weeks with regular (daily) scooping.
I've used a number of litters and these have all been major issues for me, this one beats them all out. 1. Low dust- worlds best was the worlds worst offender of this problem. Bits of litter ended up everywhere. It's disturbing to see dusty kitty paw prints on your rug when you know what he's just stepped in. Inadvertently I learned that this dust can contribute to some flare ups of asthma, particularly in organic products. 2. Low track- swheat scoop was what I used for a long time, but the tracking was an issue. The litter just sticks to everything, and tracks everywhere. 3. Easy to scoop- swheat scoop again, if you didn't scoop immediately after the cat was in there, it was a challenge. 4. No added perfume or weird smells- often even the "unscented" silica litters I used had perfume buried in the ingredient list. Both swheat scoop and worlds best had a very strong "barn" odor after a couple days. it was just too much. 5. Inexpensive- because of the smells of many of the organic based litters, I would end up needing to replace them every 5-7 days, which was about $60 a month. The silica ones often ran more expensive, especially the ones without any perfume.
Although I do wish that this was something that could biodegrade or flush, I can't have everything.

Thank you! Mar 26, 2011
By kitty713 Finally a quality cat litter that doesn't leave my house coated in litter dust! Best low-dust litter I've ever found. Slightly less effective in odor control because it's unscented, but because it clumps so well and the box is easy to keep clean, that's not really an issue. And I don't have to lug it home from the store. Love this product! Please put it on Subscribe and Save.
