2too easy to break  Mar 08, 2010

I purchased this kennel to crate train an adopted dog with seperation anxiety. After less than a month the dog was able to break the lower lip where the door sits and escape. After contacting pet mate they said the warrenty doesnt cover crate training a dog only a dog that is already trained. Tough break. I bought another one at petsmart for cheaper as well.

I've been using this crate for 8 months and it works great. Crate training an older strong aggressive dog or one that has severe seperation anxiety might not work as easy. Always start with feeding in the crate, make it a positive experience, but I've trained numerous foster dogs of various ages without any issue and have used this crate over and over again.
