Great dog bed! Mar 14, 2010
By Lynn Swiss The bed arrived on time and is well made, my dogs, even the large ones, love to curl up in it. The pillow is not so fluffy that it takes up meaningful bed space. We have a large 55 pound rescue mutt who loves the bed so much he curls up tight as a cinnamon roll, rests his muzzle on the bedside and slips happily off to doggie dreamland.

So Far, So Good Dec 21, 2010
By Lady Action Fan I bought this for a 20 lb Maine Coon that likes to sleep in boxes. (With three cat beds, he prefers appropriately a very large Amazon box to sleep in). I'm guessing it's the square shape he's attracted to.
First the the bed looks very little like the picture. The color I received is a very dark chocolate brown. The material is a cloth that simulates a leather look. Attractive but kind of weird. Soft and smooth, but feels like a mix of cloth and vinyl. It also has a slight chemical smell. (And it's made in China.) It's still winter so I'll cover it with a blanket.
The cat's okay with it, so I can't complain. Since he's fully clawed, I'm not yet sure if it'll survive too long.
Another thing to note is that the walls of the bed, like the picture, are 1.5 - 2 inches thick. So take that into account when comparing the size of your pet with the dimensions in the description. I was aiming for a bed the same size as my cat's favorite box. While the full bed is larger than the box, the actual bed space is smaller. Luckily, it's still generous enough for my cat, but he can't quite lay completely flat as he could with box.
Only time will tell if that matters and/or if it'll be worth the 40+ dollar price tag.
Updated 12/29/2010 After a couple of days, the cat seemed reluctant to get into the bed, especially without the blanket in it. So I washed it thinking maybe that funny smell was putting him off. Most of the smell is gone, but a faint odor remains. Anyway, the cat seems more willing to get in.
We'll see how it works out.
BTW, in the meantime, I threw the blanket over the bare foam. It held up very well without the cover. The bottom foam has those orthopedic spikes. Interesting. The cat was happy to get in the bed without the cover and just his blanket over the foam.
Updated 5/24/2011 The cat loves it. He's in it all day long. So far I haven't noticed any tears due to claws. And it washes very well. It has been washed a number of times and still looks good.
Updated 1/8/2012 Cat still loves it. Stays in it all the time. Still looks new. No tears due to claws. Washes extremely well.

My Pap loves it! Feb 02, 2010

This bed is very nicely made, holds its shape quite well and has a nice comfy mat to sleep on. I agree that the fake sheepskin side does shed a lot, but then most of them seem to anyway. I like that this bed provides my dog with a lot of protection and I think she feels safe when she is settled down for the night.
I've been pleased with this bed and my 10 pound papillon is very happy.

Lola's Lounger Jan 21, 2011
By J. Nowicki
"The Boss and Mrs. B."
Our 9 week old, 4 pound shih-poo, Lola, seems to like the lounger. Not quite sure I would describe it as a bed for her because we use a Midwest Ultima Pro Series Dog Crate 31 Inches by 22 Inches by 24 Inches for her sleeping space. She does hop in and out of it to play with her chew toys. The color was a bit disappointing because you don't get a choice. I had hoped to get the one pictured but we received a lounger that was dark green, really more of a moss green than sage. It's okay but not what I would have chosen had I had a choice. We did realize the color was variable so it is a non issue, we mention it only as an FYI. Since we didn't want her chewing on the fleece we placed the removable pad in a pillowcase. Therefore, we have no issue regarding problems with shedding or, in Lola's case, shredding of the fleece. All in all a very nice purchase for La Lola. ~ The Boss and Mrs. B. ~

Plush, cozy, dog loves it Aug 02, 2010
By Delighted Great little bed. Our dog loves the bed and finds it cozy. He told me so himself!
It's well made, soft, and the sides hold up well. We have a reasonably large 14-week Lab puppy in it. Plus, the fluffy section is an insert that can be removed for cleaning.
Bottom line, I would purchase this again. In fact, I wish they made a larger one for when our puppy gets older.
