5works great for my cats  Aug 06, 2009
By Michelle "dannyzlady"
We have two cats and we take short camping trips where we can't take them with us. We needed a reliable way to make sure they had plenty of food and water while we were gone. These work brilliantly. Perfect size for our short trips. The food we use flows easily into the bowl. The cats learned quickly that all they had to do was bump their heads against the clear container and more food would tumble into the bowl. We just keep it in a spot where they can't knock it over.

4Good System For Small Pets! Recommended  Jul 09, 2009
By C. F. Hill "CFH"
The Le Bistro Feeding and Watering System is somewhat pricy, but it does perform exactly as expected.

We have two cats that we worry about when we have to be away from home for two or three days. This system provides a constant supply of dry food (up to 5 lbs) and water (1 gal), which more than covers the time we spend away. Refilling the food and water is easy but I always get a little spillage when putting the water jug part into the bottom, but my wife seems to be able to do it mess free.

The two units are well made and fairly small so they fit nicely out of the way under the overhang of our counter top.

Recommended!

5Great product.  Aug 01, 2011
By Amazon Girl "CJ"
This is the second time I am buying. I bought the same set about 2 years ago at Petco for my boston terrier puppy. After graduating from school and moving back home for a year, my parents and their dogs are using them, too. They're still intact and I can't bear to take them away now. So here I am buying number 2. They look identical and I can only hope that they will last as long as the old ones have.

I love them.
My parents love them.
The dogs love them.

What more can you ask for?

2Overpriced junk  Apr 04, 2009
By Nona
Very clever idea, but in reality not worth the price.

I do cat rescue and thought this would make life easier; I was wrong.

The cats have knocked the water unit over and it came apart.

The dry food unit might be fine with round kibble, but with Iams it gets blocked and the food doesn't come down easily. You have to shake the unit.

Save your money and buy large bowls instead.

4great ivestment for multiple cats household  Sep 09, 2011
By Tori "Tori"
I recently inherited 3 cats, and their greatest delight was waiting until late at night to eat their food, scarfing it all down, throwing some of it up on my carpet and then waking me up at 3am, jumping on the bed and meowing for more food. (Sigh) (Their previous owner spoiled them rotten) I did some research, looking for cheap, sturdy, large, simple, and hassle-free. I've only had it for a week or so, but it works fine. No jamming of the food, easy to fill, and the cats use it. They still meow at me, out of reflex I think, but no more early morning wake up calls. It's good-sized, I don't even fill it up all the way. It's got a wide base, so they don't fight over "food-bowl rights" and there's less vomit on my floor. It seems pretty sturdy to me and looks fairly easy to clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because, the week before I bought it, the price went UP by 10$ which I thought was a little odd and excessive. I understand that prices can fluctuate and it's just my opinion, but I would have been happier paying the $40, had I not known it was $30 the week before. And I would have been even happier paying the $30. If you have one cat, I wouldn't recommend this product. You might want to go for something smaller, waaay smaller. I can see a lot of food going to waste (going stale) because of the volume. But if you have multiple cats, it's a good product.
