Some reviews for the gate I bought said you needed this extra kit. You don't. However, the kit has everything you could need and the items are decent quality.

The door came with foam. There's really no need to get this kit as well. The silicone cock was nice to seal around the outside of the door, but you can get this on its own for just a couple of bucks.

After installing the foam, couldn't seal the two pieces of the door together, had to tear it off and it was a waste of money...

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT NECESSARY JUST AN ADD ON. BUY YOUR OWN SILICONE AND OR FOAM STRIP FOR ADDED INSULATION. DOOR DOES COMES WITH FOAM WEATHERSTRIPPING.
