5Best Puppy Toy Ever!  Dec 29, 2011
By Carolyn Branch
This toy has lasted thru 3 Cavalier King Charles puppies as well as several litters. Granted the little string ties that protrude from the balls came out right away but the rest of the toy has endured 2 yrs now of happy shaking. My first Cavalier was obsessed with it. She loves to hold it by the center fabric that joins the balls & shake it even though the balls bop her in the head. I've had so much fun watching her play with this toy.

It eventually made it's way out to the outside kennels so when I went looking for a new one to keep inside I found our pet store didn't carry it any more. I've tried other toys but nothing kept their attention like this toy. Today I picked up the dirty weathered toy from outside & saw the Petstages logo & decided to see if I could find one online. When I found it here I ordered 2 more. Had I thought of searching here when I was breeding I would have sent one home with each puppy. It's a wonderful small breed puppy toy.

5My pup enjoyed it so much I'm ordering 2 more!  May 23, 2011
By K.Dub
I have a small dog, last weighing in at 8.8 lbs. She has enjoyed this toy for almost a full year now. In the first week she had all the ribbons off of the toy and I'm still finding them from time to time under furniture. But, she still has a great time with the balls. She loves to throw the toy in the air and catch it and then try and pull it apart. Just a few weeks ago the elastic snapped from her using it too much and the green side went flying. I tried going to the local pet stores but after 4 or 5 stores I haven't been able to find the toy so I'm going to buy 2 more and hide one until this next one breaks. I'm hoping with her puppy stage almost over that it'll be quite a while before that happens.

5Cool toy for variety's sake.  Jan 10, 2011
By Jenny Penny "JPC"
I am a big fan of Petstages toys and I purchased this one for my 3 pound Yorkie mix. The interesting thing about this toy is that it is more of a rattle than a squeaky toy. This was great for my little one because when we got him, he was scared of squeakers. He truly enjoys this toy. My only note would be that this is not a "mini" toy. It is probably made more for the dog over 10 pounds but my little one drags it around just fine. All in all, this is a great addition to his toy box & he seeks it out often for entertainment!

1NOT a safe toy - puppy was chewing on pieces in 5 minutes! Had to trash...  Jul 23, 2011
By Michele
First off, I will say that I am a very big fan of Petstages toys. We have a 4 month old 20lb English Setter puppy, and have had great success with their two other toys ("soft toss ring" and "rag rope toy"). We bought this thinking it would have the same quality as the other two - not so at all.

First, the product description says the toy "incorporates various sounds"....I wish they had gone ahead and said that one ball has a bell inside, and the other side is a squeak toy. We don't give our dogs squeak toys, on account of the fact that we also have pet birds (whose voices sound exactly like the squeak toy - get my drift?). So had I known, I would not have bought the toy. Not a big deal - just spent 20 minutes killing the squeaker inside the toy.

Second, and this is really the kicker - both balls have textured bumps on them, in the shape of triangles and circles. I understand that these different textures are to engage and stimulate the dog. But YOU NEED TO MAKE A TOY WHERE A PUPPY CANNOT CHEW THEM OFF IN 5 MINUTES. Literally. And so I was forced to decide between letting this dog keep chewing on these little rubber pieces (which would end up being a trip to the vet's office), or to trash the toy. Chewing off the pieces also meant little holes all over the toy, which meant both the squeaker and the bell were next down my dog's throat.

If I had a stronger breed, or an older dog, this would be one thing. But this is the first toy that hasn't made it - almost every other toy she has, she's had since we got her and they are not destroyed.

Playstages, you need to up your game. This is the first rubber-type toy I've bought from you, and it will be the last. I'll stick with the cloth and rope toys from you, and the Kong toys if I want something that lasts. Very disappointed.
