Steal for its price ($120) May 21, 2009
By K. C. Lee Got this for a steal at $120. Well constructed and gives sharp and clear images. It's easy to focus and the relatively heavy weight makes it more stable.

Review of Pentax 10X36 DCF HS Binoculars Sep 23, 2008
By Desh Excellent Binoculars for a Safari trip. We were looking for light but powerful enough binocular to see wild life. This is a great choice for that. It has good optics, and we had a great time using it.

Beware! UPS Signature required Jan 06, 2010
By R. Tompson

It chafes my buns when shippers send me something "Signature required" without asking my permission.
I work full time, so I'm never home when the UPS truck wanders by... and the UPS pick-up point is 10 miles away from me.
The binoculars may be great; I don't know, because I have to drive across town to pick them up.
Why is it so difficult to ask me whether I want this service?
======================= OK, now I have them. The UPS guy had another item coming to my home which did not require signature, and left the binocs with item #1. Thanks, UPS guy.
I really like these binocs for hunting. Sitting in a deer blind, they are small enough to stay out of the way, large enough to gather some decent light, powerful enough to penetrate the underbrush, and have really nice optics. A real good value, I think.
The extra eye relief is as advertised. The central focusing knob is well shaped, and has the right trade-off between "easy to turn" and "doesn't defocus very easily while hanging from the neck."
If I were going to improve them, I would give them better objective lens covers. The two covers given are thin plastic, and will not stay put. I prefer the kind that cup around the lens, with a good 1/2 inch or better of overlap onto the binoc body. I tend not to use the velcro closing bag they can be stored in, and prefer good eyepiece covers and good objective lens cups.
The neck strap could be easier to adjust. It *is* easy to install, but if/when you decide to change its length, it takes a minute or two. I won't go into detail here, but it would be an easy fix to have a slightly more user friendly neck strap.
Again, very good value set of binocs.
Great clarity Feb 19, 2011
By gjwaters052 I have been very impressed with these. They are small and lite roof prisms with a clarity that is great. I'm surprised that these aren't top of the line.
