I am the proud mom of a 10 month old, 120 lb rottweiler husky mix. This giant puppy chews up everything, the world is his toy. This house has not been a target of his slobbery jaws. It's well built, tough, and looks good. I use a large industrial rubber mat as bedding. (he shreds blankets) He took to it well, and sleeps in it every night. I highly recommend this house.

We bought this dog house about 8+ years ago for one of our older dogs. She has now passed on and our 3 border collies have taken residence & use this to rest & shelter in when they are outside.
It was very easy to put together and has not fallen apart in 8+yrs. We have taken it apart to move and clean it, and we move it to different spots around the yard and it holds up well.
Our big border collie (60 lbs) and the small one (40lbs) both fit in there in a rain, thunder or snow storm. They dont seem to mind both being together in there as long as they are sheltered. Years ago, for a joke , I can remember my husband actually got into it and he's 230lbs - he backed in as far as he could go and fit !!!
The snow and rain only get inside if it's blowing sideways, I made a bed to fit inside and it rarely gets wet, but we put the house in the most sheltered position for rain/snow.
Our youngest Border Collie chews everything plastic and I mean EVERYTHING, but she has never even tried to chew this house - thank goodness.
Even after daily use for 8+yrs it still looks really good and does not look old and weathered, the floor/walls/roof have not buckled or become mis-shapen, even with the extremes of temperatures we get in Colorado. I would buy this house again in a heartbeat if anything happened to this one.

This is a great product. Its durable, and easy to clean. We use it to store the dogs toys, our dog would rather sit in the rain then seek shelter. Easy to assemble and light enough to move around as needed.

Best purchase we have ever made! Durable and quick to put together with two people. We have two shelties and one St.Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix (big dog). We have been looking for a dog house that would be big enough for the big dog but easy to maintain too. Saw the picture and read the reviews and saw a lot of good feedback, so we bought two. The dogs love it. Plenty of room for the big dog to fit in nicely. Easy to clean with hose and has a little small window at the back for air circulation. I definitely recommend it.

Although the first one arrived with a dented roof (the replacement and return was very quick and painless) overall I'm quite pleased with this. I'm not in a high wind prone area so I actually just have it sitting on top of six spaced bricks to elevate it off the ground. My cowardly wheaten terrier still isn't convinced it's not a trap of some kind apparently, but I'm content to let him get used to it first before I escalate measures to get him comfortable in there. He'a an indoor dog at night but can spend hours have the run of the yard. This seems like a good marriage of material and function. I'm pretty sure the dent occurred during shipping as we had a lot of heat for those few weeks. It likely wouldn't have affected the performance, but it was certainly noticeable enough (six inches round and 1-1 1/2 inches deep). Overall I'd recommend to a friend easily enough. The return and replacement will be addressed in the shipping ratings which are separate and the house itself it certainly as advertised and looks like it will last a long time out there.
