Love this cat box! Feb 08, 2008
By Alliecat Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R31TV82CVSSVZ1 Omega Paw RA20 Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Large, Green and Beige This is a short demonstration video of how to use the Omega Paw Roll'n Clean Litter Box. I am not a representative for any product I am reviewing. I am just a customer who was interested in buying a new litter box for my cat and probably just like yourself was reading reviews to find one that got high praises. When I came across this litter box, I couldn't picture how it worked exactly but I was tired of the same old litter boxes so I took a chance and bought the Omega Paw Self Cleaning Litter Box. I hated scooping and changing out bags. When I received the litter box and actually tried it, I absolutely loved the concept. I wondered how many people had difficulty visualizing the concept as I did. I liked the litter box so much I decided to do a short demonstration on how it works. Oh and I realize I shoved the "poo" back in the box at the end of the video but believe me, I emptied it later! lol
Now on to the actual review. It is a very easy to use litter box. I have found that I've used less litter with this box and there is less odor. It is a very economical litter box and I don't dread cleaning it as much as I have in the past with other boxes. No more bags and no more scooping. Just roll and empty the tray! Just use the brand of cat litter of your choice as long as it is the CLUMPING cat litter. I would recommend getting the large box as the regular size is very small and IMO would only accomodate a kitten or small cat. My cats seem to appreciate the privacy of the box and the litter scatter is minimized compared to other litter boxes. I definitely recommend this litter box. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
To clean the litter box: Roll the box on its right side ( or until you hear all the soiled litter go into the tray), then roll back to the stationary position like I demonstrated in the video. Sometimes you may need to roll the box almost on its top depending on how full it is and how often you clean it. The soiled litter will have gone up and over into the tray area and will remain there until emptied. Then slightly roll the box to the left to allow the clean litter back into the box. Slide the tray open and you will find the soiled litter. Empty litter and replace tray in litter box. You will find the process is quite simple and less of a hassel than using bags or scooping.

For those who don't like this--just use it right Aug 11, 2005
By Wilma Beale If you put the box together right, the loose litter flows through the screen as you roll the box to the right; keep rolling the box and the clumps go on over the top of the screen into the open top of the collection box. Ingeniously simple! (For those who think the CLUMPS need to go through the screen: look at it again. It's probably just a matter of flipping the screen so that it goes from the edge of the collection box downward to the bottom, not upward. Leaving the top of the collection box uncovered, at the top edge of the screen.)
Some hints: 1) When you roll the box upright again, give it a good shake to the right, or roll it part way to the left and back upright, to bring the litter back into the potty chamber. 2) If your floor space is limited, scoot the box leftward as you roll it to the right. As for the litter, there is no magic height the litter has to be in the potty chamber; I don't know how some could find this a problem. 3) To fill the box, tilt it backward and pour in the litter. To empty it, tilt it forward over a trash receptacle.
As for the quality of the box, it's just fine; any better quality and it would be too heavy for me to use, being up in my years. The latches that hold the top and bottom of the box together could be stronger, but face it, how often will you need to open it up? After being in use for two months, there is nothing sticking to the box yet to clean up, and so no reason to open it--maybe this won`t be true with all litters. Based on recommendations, I have only used World`s Best clumping litter; it lasts a l-o-n-g time because not much is caught up in the clumps, and what is left is still clean, not like some I`ve used, where fouled or wet bits fall away from the clumps. The regular litter boxes get dirty above the litter line, but that hasn't happened yet with the Omega boxes--must have something to do with the shape...
If the latches don't latch smoothly, don't put undue pressure on them, just check that they are lined up straight and the box rims are tightly together, and look to see if there is a little tag of plastic keeping the latches from moving well, and take it off with a paring knife or pocket knife.
I got the bigger size from PetSmart for my larger cat. I left the old litter box there until he got used to the new one, but he never again set foot in the old box! I got a regular size box, from PetCo, for my smaller, blind kitty so she could have it in her favorite area, but my big cat uses that regular-size one just as often as he uses the bigger one!
I LOVE it!

BEST IDEA since cat litter Dec 29, 2004
By Keeping the Economy Alive I would describe this cat box with words like- LOVE_LOVE- FUN- easy, ETC ETC.... When I bought the first one, I saved the receipt. I thought for $30 I am taking it back if it doesnt work like a dream. I also gave it to my mom as XMAS gift, so I wanted to make her test it out. When we first got Ragdolls cats for each other as XMAS gifts, we agreed on loving the cats but hating the cat box. We even tried the automatic cleaning ones and took them back. This cat box would be worth $100 in my opinion. I cant believe how easy it is to use, less then 10 seconds to cleans the litter box, no removing the lid. Throw away the scoops as you will never need it once you own this cat box. No smell, no bags, no mess. Even for someone with a bad back it would only require bending over. You roll it upside down, and the cleaning is done. You slide out the drawer and the solied litter is ready to goto the trash can. The only thing I could think people may need to adjust themselves to is using minimal amount of litter. Just fill the main section with 3-4 inches of litter. Dont try to even it out to fill up the right side of the box. Since I have gotten one for my mom, I purchased one. 4 other people I have demonstrated my cat box too, have also purchased one and they say they love it!!! Go get one today!!
GOING ON 1 Year- I still love this cat box. I have encouraged at least 10 people to purchase one this year. Important note I have to mention, reguarding the clips that hold this together. I have never had a problem with my clips, I have only unclipped mine about 4 times to really clean the grate inside. 3 people I know called and said they had a mess going when cleaning Omega. I figured it out for them instantly, at the time of thier purchase Of Omega, someone stole the clip!! We went to 2 PETCO's asking for the clips to hold the Omega together, none of the Omegas in thier store had clips. Be careful whn you go to purchase and make sure the Omega has 3 clips. Shoppers must read the reviews on Amazon and help themselves to extra clips when they go to purchase this item:)

the bomb May 19, 2005
By S. R. With three cats in my arsenal of cats this box works best for me. I have tried all kinds of boxes even the expensive motor driven kind. This works best. just roll and empty. One of my cats likes to pee on the inside wall of the box which killed the Littermaid, and hampered cleaning with the various other boxes I've owned. This box deals with it better because it is a MANUAL operated box. The cats cannot physically pee on the grate that seperates the clumps from the clean litter. Just roll it over daily and empty the container. Nothing is perfect, but this comes close. A bargain compared to the Littermaid and other "high-tech" boxes in terms of cost and maintenance. Finally someone applied physics to a cat box. Give that person a raise!

The Best Litter Box Ever! Feb 03, 2007
By Katherine Berry
"HousewifeHowTos(dot)com"
I can't believe I'm raving about a litter box, but I am. I've raved about this to my husband, to my friends, on my blog... to everyone who'll listen, as a matter of fact. I have a kitten whose rather finicky about litter box hygiene, and a large house -- which means I need more than one litter box. I thought to replace one of our litter boxes with this, leaving the ol' 'covered box' as his main one.
Well, my kitten apparently has other plans. He's stopped using the others, so now I'm ordering two more just like this.
This litter box is SO easy to clean:
1. Keep 3" of clumping litter in it at all times. Refill as needed.
2. Shake the box vigorously after cleaning to "level" the litter.
3. To clean, roll the box upside-down on the round side.
4. Return the box to rightside up.
5. Remove the drawer and dump the drawer's contents.
That's IT. The top is secured with very firm clasps to ensure the litter doesn't go flying everywhere when you roll it, and the hole in front is not only large enough for big kitties, but also for you to add litter using a jar if you don't want to have to remove the box's lid.
Seriously, it's worth the money. You'll never mind cleaning the litter box again. That, my friends, is PRICELESS!
