Got this as a life-saver for my tiled floor which was beginning to soak up a lot of water with my two dogs. Dogs splash, and though you may think the water is air-drying beware the seepage which is bound to be occurring. Tile is sensitive to water...as is wood, especially trim. This perfectly holds 3 bowls each measuring ~7inches in diameter -I have two for food and one for water. They aren't the sloped kind (designed for stability) and if you had those, I suggest it would only hold 2.
A great product, nicely designed with a rim to contain spills. Flexible material easy to clean.

We're very happy with this mat. I feed three small dogs on it. The lip works out great. The size is great. It cleans up nicely, as well. I didn't see the option of "assorted colors" when I ordered. I might have selected a color that matched my travertine floors better had I seen that option, but overall we're very happy with this purchase!

This mat was fine for the short term, but began to get stains/rings from our dog's stainless steel bowl after about 10 months-1 year. We needed to replace it. The edges also curled after we put it in the dishwasher (probably should not have done that.. ).
What you can't tell from the picture is that it has an outline of a goofy dog picture and dinner within the mat. It is like a raised line drawing. Can't see it much when the bowls are on it. It is also not pearlized... just plain gray plastic.

When I first began my search for a mat to put our dog bowls on, I had a lot of very specific "requirements." It had to be the right color (green or pink preferably), the right size, and the right shape (bone or heart-shaped). Aesthetics aside, we actually needed it to contain the mess from all the dog's splashing, slobbering fun.
We've purchased all sorts of mats, from ones at the dollar store to more expensive ones at brick and mortar stores in our area. They all ended up being tossed away. I reluctantly purchased this mat based on the many good reviews. Who cares if it wasn't a pink, heart-shaped one? I could no longer sacrifice function for form.
After receiving it, I set it up and let the dog do her thing. It's only been two weeks, but I'm glad to report no nasty mildew smells (that you get with those fabric-based mats). Also, the dog's food and water messes are finally contained (neatly on the plastic mat).
Another reviewer mentioned the ease of cleaning; we can take the mat and the bowls and clean them all in the shower, and then we can just wipe the mat dry. This mat really does work for us, and I'm happy that our search is over. For those who are concerned about the lack of cute, it's really not that bad. The color is a neutral beige/tan, and it's shaped like a bone. (At least I got one thing I wanted.)

I was looking for something that would contain my dogs food since he enjoys spreading it all around as he eats. This works great, I would say it contains about 80% of the food that falls out of his mouth when he's chopping down on it. Some else mentioned something about the raised dog picture, this is somewhat visible in the picture on Amazon but it's more pronounced in person although I kind of like it. The mat is easy to clean and does what I was hoping it would, contain my dogs mess. Great product I would purchase again.
