Nothing but praise for this product! May 02, 2010
By Deborah Kirby I have 2 long-haired tabby cats and they both love this product! Not only do they not have any hairball issues but with a fairly small condo I have absolutely no litter box odor. Big thumbs up from me.

Worth the price! Feb 12, 2007
By C. Dutton-snell These are great!! Absolutely no litter box odor after just two days!! They are a little pricey, but they work fabulously!! My daughter will finally clean the litter box!!

Seems to work if you can get them to eat it May 03, 2008
By jpr My daughter's cat doesn't really care for this product, but if she mixes a few in with the food, the cat ends up eating some of them and it does appear to reduce litterbox odor somewhat. That is a big concern since she keeps the litterbox in the downstairs bathroom which is right off the livingroom.

Not appealing to my cat Apr 10, 2008

I ordered this and the Hartz #95118 Advanced Care Hairball Remedy for Cats, Kittens and Rabbits Malt Flavor just so that I have a backup in case my cat would not eat one or the other. This is not a hard or crunchy type shell but a bit more soft. I am so dissapointed that my cat will not touch this. The smell is somewhat like beef jerky and should be appetizing to her. Of course, I should say my cat is the pickiest one on earth and only leaps for The Goodlife Recipe treats. On the other hand, my cat does like the Hartz Hairball Remedy.
I was hoping this would reduce the litterbox smell but I cannot rate whether the other actual properties of this product work until my Chase ingests this. So until then a piece will sit in her cat food. It is 6 hours and counting. to all the picky cats out there and a warning yours may not like it either :(
Update 06/09/08
This smells really bad once you open it. I initially liked the smell but since my cat wouldn't touch it, it would smell up the house and esp. the kitchen area really bad like some putrid, rotting meat. No wonder she wouldn't touch it.
I am leaving my 1 star vote as is because I literally had to force feed this to my Chase. I put 5 or so in her bowl, as that is the recommended dosage for her weight of 8 lbs., and she would only eat it after all her regular food was gone. By that time, the chew had become somewhat hardened. And to add insult to injury, the smell of her excrement was not even the slightest bit reduced as the package would have you believe.
According to the package, this will cost you $85+ a year per pet to "reduce" the smell of wastes. Not worth it as it does not work for Chase. She is only 8lbs. If your cat weighs more, be prepared to pay $100 per year.
These are a winner! Dec 11, 2011
By Kit Cat My fat cat loved a variety of these that is no longer made by Purina, so after literally trying every single hairball remedy available at Petco - he will eat and loves - these treats. I was so happy to find them on Amazon as they are quite expensive at pet store. He has been on them for a few weeks and no hacking...I give 2 per day after giving 4-5 each day to start with...sort of like maintenance. So far so good ^..^
