Good price and BRIGHT! Feb 01, 2012
By Josh I bought this for my 20 gallon marine tank because of the price and good ratings. I am not disappointed. This T5 setup is just one needs for starting up a small saltwater setup.
Beautiful light, easy to install and works great for keeping coral. Jan 13, 2012
By Jarred All I can say is that this light is well worth the money if you're not looking to spend an arm and a leg. I used this to replace the lack luster stock hood on my 20 gallon and I'm extremely impressed. The bulbs that come with it provide a nice blue light that makes your fish, live rock and corals stick out. I'm confident that my corals and livestock will be a lot healthier and happier now.
The fan itself is incredibly easy to put together...even for me! It slips directly onto the top of the tank and is easily adjustable. If you're in an area with hot summers then you'll notice this light runs very cool and provides a nice buffer between the light itself and the water as to not create extra heat inside the tank. You also have enough room to place a small cooling fan since the light is raised above the water.
If you're on the fence then I say go for it!
Great fixture for the price enough for couple corals Sep 09, 2011
By Jonathan Munoz I was looking for a 24" long t5's for my 20 gallon high tank. Well for the price this fixture is well made with black aluminum recently the actinic bulb blows witch I will say is normal after almost 2 years in a roll of constant use and after all they are supposed to get changed every 8 to 12 months, or they will start to produce algae for ur tank, for some people the missing lunar lights could be a downside but c'mon is a 70 dollars high output fixture, what I did is that I bought an small lunar light and stick it with velcro to one of the legs instead of put it in the center under nit the fixture, by installing the moon light in the leg it delivers the moon light in an angle perfectly instead of just have one point illuminated in the center my recommendation to you definitely get it,deliveries outstanding colors and great amount of light enough for couple corals in ur tank. I have a torch coral, hammer coral, trompet coral, zoos, mushrooms and more with no problem, I had an anemone an I'm not sure if was the light but It could not make it, remember is not only the lighting, u also need to check the feeding and the current when talking about corals, be prepared to buy another fixture within one or two years why? well if you supposed to replace the bulbs every 12 months and each bulb cost 25 dollars, that makes a total of 50 bucks, well whats the price of the fixture with bulbs? Answer $68, why spend 50 dollars in new bulbs when you can spend 65 and get new fixture, new bulbs and new ballast, that was my only mistake when I bought the replacement bulbs this morning :(, extremely happy with this fixture and specially for the price you don't need to spend $400 dollars in a fixture for your 24" long tank

By Matthew Roll The lights work very well and run Kool, my only gripe-No lunar lights, other than that i would have given a 5 star rating for this light.
