Updated Ingredients List Mar 06, 2011
By Elizabeth I have a couple of long-haired cats who are fussy eaters. They dive into Lamaderm Lamb Platter with no hesitation and seem to enjoy it very much.
The ingredients list on Amazon.com for this product is outdated. The current list on the label of the food I bought in 2011 and on the Natural Life website is:
"Lamb, Water sufficient for processing, Lamb Liver, Rice Flour, Flaxseed, Calcium Carbonate, Guar Gum, Carrots, Peas, Canola Oil, Choline Chloride, Lecithin, Salt, Taurine, Potassium Chloride, Carrageenan, Cassia, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Sodium Carbonate, Cranberries, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Vitamin A Supplement, Sodium Selenite, Calcium Pantothenate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Biotin Supplement, Vitamin D Supplement, Calcium Iodate."

Adored by Big Bad Baby Twinkle Mar 10, 2009
By Ace I am writing this at the wish of Big Bad Baby Twinkle -- eater extraordinaire and largius kittius.
Although she is of ferocious temperament (as the Vet and her assistants can validate), she has a most delicate stomach. Although she often tries to steal (huh!!) everyones' food, ONLY lamb based cat food (canned) will stay down.
Having found Natural Life Lamaderm at a very reasonable price (I was paying twice that much for specially formulated lamb-based canned cat foods in the past), I discovered that BBBT (as she is fond of being called) will happily absorb every last atom of this "delishus foodie!!" from her plate. Since she IS big-boned girlie who is on a vet-mandated diet, she only gets one can total per day (5.5 ounces), plus a few toothie treats as rewards for being halfway-good (I love her dearly, and certainly get more than my share of head-butts and a few rare kisses from her)
The texture of this food is smooth, with some veggies added, but the veggies themselves are wet and smooth enough to avoid the upchucking that ensued from other simlarly-formulated lamb-based-with veggies cat-food-brands in the past. She's been eating NaturalLife Lamaderm for at least 3 years now. Her coat is now silky (she came into my life as a skinny wiry-haired street urchin).
Nothing goes to waste in this food. Great job Natural Life!!
Lamaderm Cat Food Canned Oct 17, 2011
By Anita This is great food for cats with food allergies ans/or stomach issues. My kitty with suspected IBD loves it and it is a lot less expensive that the vet diets. Although lamb is do longer labeled "hypoallergenic", it can be tolerated by many cats as it is very digestible.
Impressive quality! Oct 04, 2011
By M. Torma I gave it 5 stars because I love the quality, but more importantly, my kitty loves the taste! I only have one of three that can eat lamb, but she can't eat fish so while the other 2 get fish once in awhile she gets lamb. The consistency of this is nice and firm and not mushy which make it very user friendly. I always add about tablespoon of water on top of all my cats canned food anyway, but at least I'm not paying for a can of food that is over 80% moisture. I don't like to pay for those brands like Halo or Weruva that are too watery. According to studies I've read on line, a cat that is fed canned food with moisture percent of 78 only need about a tablespoon of water each day to get their daily intake to remain healthy. Mine get that added to each of 2 feedings to make sure they get enough and all are doing great. I read one review for another food where the lady makes her cats food into a paste and then feeds them claiming it makes the food go farther. To me that seems like they wouldn't get enough to eat doing it that way so I just put it on top of their regular portion. Works great and everyone is happy. Anyway, don't let the low price steer you away from this as being lower quality because it isn't.
