Molly and Friends "The Lookout" Premium Handmade 3-Tier Cat Tree with Sisal, Model 3L2, Beige

This is the best cat furniture. Large beds and rest areas allow big kitties (or multiple ones) to lounge, stretch, and play! Our All Natural Thick Sisal Rope is just what your kitty wants to dig his claws into. Our premium handmade high quality cat furniture is made from scratch right here in the U.S.A. and requires no assembly - we do all the solid building for you. Because this furniture is handmade and not "modular", you'll get the sturdiest upright post that can be climbed up, scratched at, slept in, and peered out from. A real look-out tower for your kitty(s). We use solid pine poles in our construction along with heavy duty screws and bolts to build a piece of furniture that is more furniture than scratching post. But, it is a piece of furniture meant to be scratched - just what kitty ordered. This particular unit contains one cradle, one condo, and one bed plus 27" of all natural sisal rope for scratching. It stands 54" tall on a 2' x 2' base and comes in a beige color.

  • Large beds and rest areas for all sized cats

  • Durable materials, high-quality carpet, and solid construction

  • All natural thick sisal rope

  • Handmade in the USA, No assembly required

  • 54 inches tall on a 24 inch x 24 inch base

5I bought Two!!  May 17, 2009
By Tanzanite Gal "Denise"
I bought one and then a few months later bought another in a different style. They are excellently made, much better than the local chain pet warehouse store. Very heavy. We have 5 rescued cats, all very big and these trees are holding up just fine. I had never had a basket cat tree before and the cats love them. I just wish the rounded baskets were made a little longer for the really big cats so their heads and tails didn't hang over each end! :) No doubt, I'll be buying another before long.

4Very sturdy - Look out for staples though  Oct 06, 2010
By Amous
Its a well-made product and doesnt wobble when my cats jump on it. Both cats are 13 and 17 years old, so I wasnt sure how they'd respond to it, but one of them immediately took to it and sleeps on the top tier almost daily. PLEASE NOTE! Before letting your cats to it - feel all around the cat tree for thick staples that might be sticking out - I had found three that could have really pierced/cut their paws. Just pull them out, then you're all set. Also, I would not recommend it for extra-large cats, might not be wide/long enough for them. My average size cat (9 lbs) barely fills the top tier and he cannot go through the 1/3 hole on top of the 2nd tier to get inside - he was stuck and squirming to get out and since then has not tried again. The hole on the side on the 2nd tier is wide enough for him to jump into. Highly recommended for its sturdiness and quality. Im definitely going to keep it for future kittens and Im sure they'll love playing in/on it.

5Wonderful Kitty Tree  Jul 30, 2007

The product came quickly and in perfect condition. The best part, no assembly required! I just took it out of the box and it was ready for the cats to play on. It is very sturdy and the cats just love it!

3Molly and Friends "Lookout" not really Premium quality  Sep 01, 2010
By Starchylace
After reading lots of reviews about the Molly and Friends cat trees, I thought, wow, this quality cat tree can't be beat. However, it's not quite the "premium" quality that I expected. I thought it would be made nearly perfet with no flaws, however, I was greatly disappointed to find that the rooftop of the condo wasn't flush to the rounded cut-out hole, and staples were showing on one side of the condo rooftop along with a small gap. My husband was able to file away part of the exposed staples, so our cat wouldn't be harmed, but there's about 4-inches of condo rooftop gap where the staple tops are clearly exposed. The condo rooftop is still sturdy, but just not put together that great. Also, as other reviewers have stated, the box that the cat tree was shipped in was horrible--a flimsy open topped box. I was amazed that the item arrived without damage. However, compared to the cat trees/condos sold at the local pet stores, this Molly an Friends cat tree is more sturdy, and larger in size.

The Cons:
*Faulty construction (doesn't live up to the "premium quality" as advertised)
*Terrible packaging
*I prefer both poles to be covered in sisal, rather than just one

The Pros:
*Sturdy and large--weighing 75lbs--with a nice size base
*All parts of the cat tree is covered in carpet with no exposed plywood
*Nice size condo with 3 entrances/exits
*No assembly required
*Great price on Amazon
*Neutral beige color

In summary, the pros outweigh the cons. Luckily, I got this cat tree at a great price on Amazon, but it makes me wonder if it was a "slightly second" item. And I'm not sure if I would buy another Molly and Friends product. So far, my cat is still getting used to it and doesn't use it much.

5Cat tree  May 10, 2010
By solyplaya
My cats like the tree and play on it frequently. One of the cats really uses the posts to climb to the top of the tree or to groom his claws. I moved from a big house to a small apartment recently and even though they have less space to run, they can still have fun with this very well constructed and sturdy tree. It is very heavy so it will be impossible for cats to tip it over.
