Well made and a hit with my cat! Dec 30, 2007
By S. Turano This scratch post is very sturdy and well made. My 16 pound Main Coon, Maggie, took to it immediately. I would recommend this product highly. It is even nice looking enough to leave in the livingroom when company comes!

The best scratching post! Jun 23, 2011
By Laurel Masse My cat loves this post, and so do I. It is so sturdy and well-balanced that it has never fallen or even wobbled, so she can dig into it and tug with confidence. It's the first thing I have bought for her that she likes better than the box it came in! We are both very happy with this purchase.

A Real Furniture Saver Nov 07, 2009
By Out-of-Place in Kansas I ordered this a few months ago and put a lot of time into researching a sturdy, heavy, wide-based product so it won't tip over. I carefully selected one with a tall sisal post so my cat would scratch it and not my furniture. She was interested in the base right out of the box, but soundly ignored the post. She would throw herself on her side, dig her claws into the base, and drag herself around the perimeter, thoroughly enjoying it. I thought I had wasted my time in selecting a sisal post, but she finally "discovered" it after several weeks and now stretches luxuriously while scratching. My furniture is now safe, and she is happy.
We had such good success with it that I ordered another one for my sister's cats as a Christmas present.

Tall and Sturdy Post Nov 04, 2011

This would be a 5-star if it hadn't arrived in the most beat up, torn up box I've ever seen from Amazon. And the packing was brown butcher paper...nuts! Luckily, the post was fine...more proof that it's sturdy! The box was SO bad I took photos...looked like the American Tourister luggage gorilla had been playing with it (for those old enough to remember that great TV ad!) My cat took to the post right away, but she's having even MORE fun with all the butcher paper....hide and go seek time acc to her.

tall scratching post Feb 07, 2011
By riley Cat is moderately intereste in this post. She like to stretch when she scratches. this post is the tallest one I have found. Cat doesn't seem to love the post. She sometimes scratches on it. She loves the medium height one better. Think it might be the toy attached. The medium height one has a fur covered ball. My cat apparently doesn't like catnip; and spraying with catnip spray and putting catnip on the post didn't entice her to this post. I tied a ribbon on the post, and cat now plays there, but not scratches.
