We searched the big chain pet supply stores and the local mom-and-pop stores for a tall cat post with tiers, and all we found were cheaply made versions. By cheaply made I mean flimsy construction, poor quality carpet with exposed staples, under sides of shelves not covered with carpet so the particle board shows, etc. We took a chance on ordering this one online after reading the reviews, and are very happy with it. The price was right in the range of the poorly made ones in the chain stores, and the quality is very good. All the tiers and curved resting places are completely covered with good quaity carpet, not just the top surfaces. The construction is sturdy and the staples are not exposed. Most important of all, our cats love it. All three of them can jump around and play on it at the same time and it does not wobble. With the free shipping from Amazon, tbis is a very good deal.

Very substantial piece of furniture with great build quality. I would give the item 5 stars if it were not for the fact that it arrived damaged. The freight company must have dropped it when unloading it off the truck (it's VERY heavy) and a large portion of one corner on the base platform was cracked on arrival.
I am a Prime customer (free 2-day shipping) and consider the free shipping an important aspect of my purchase experience.
You can't see the crack from the top when the item is in use, so I'm not going to go through the hassle to report, ship and exchange the item.

I already liked the fact that it came assembled. It is expertly finished and I received it in a few days. My two cats took to it right away and even sleep in it during the night. All in all a success. An excellent, solid product. Thank you!

Sturdy and high quality Jul 07, 2010

I have three cats, one weights almost 20 lbs. so I needed something stable and sturdy. This cat tree is fantastic, high quality, and all surfaces are carpeted above and below, not just the tops. My cats especially enjoy the enclosed level next to the top level. My largest cat can't fit in it, so when he starts playing too rough, the smaller cats can escape in there. If you're going to spend $300 on a cat tree, I would highly recommend this one.

After reading a lot of good reviews of the Molly and Friends cat trees, I purchased "Fluffy's Favorite". First of all, this was listed in the Amazon Prime products, but when I got to shipping information, it showed delivery would be 5 days later. I decided to go with it. Five days later, delivery was made to another carrier in town who said they would call when they could deliver it, but not that day. When finally delivered, it was very poorly packaged - the base was set into one cardboard box and another box was put over the top, the two taped together. The boxes had tears in them and the cat tree had grease or something similar on two places. The worst was that the base of the cat tree was warped in two places making the entire tree very wobbly. I purchased this product because it was advertised as very stable. I refused delivery of the cat tree and the carrier took it away. I went back to the computer to inform Amazon I refused delivery, but they seem to only have methods for returns arranged by them, so I don't know what kind of response I will get to the refusal of delivery.
