My Cat Doesn't Know He Loves This Collar! Oct 20, 2006
By Katherine Berry
"Venomous Kate"
I've gone through so many cat collars over the years. They either break, mat my cat's hair, or he scratches at them until I worry he'll hurt himself. Not with this one! As soon as it arrived, I slipped it over his head. He had no idea, and still doesn't. I'd all but given up getting him to wear his tags due to the problems with other collars. Now, thanks to this one, his tags are where they belong. I'm so happy that I'm thinking of ordering more to give them to all the cat lovers I know for Christmas stocking stuffers this year!

Finally, a cat collar that works! May 29, 2006
By nyxmacspam I bought three of these collars for my cats because we're moving and I want them to have IDs.
In the past, I've tried the wider collars with the safety snap. When I put those on, the cats would wiggle and squirm trying to get the collar off and with the safety snap they eventually unlatched them. Plus, the width of other collars tends to mat the hair around their necks.
This collar, so far, is far superior. Two of my cats were hesitant about having something go over their head, but once the Safety Collar was on, they haven't thought twice about it. They haven't tried to get them off or scratched at them, it doesn't seem to bother them at all and since these collars are so thin, the fur on their necks aren't suffering.
The sliding motion of the collar is easy to move back and forth yet secure enough to stay in place with regular use. The colors are very vibrant. I got Mango Orange, Maui Blue, and Tulip Red but unfortunately, since my cats have long hair the color gets lost in their fur. But that doesn't take anything away from how much I love these collars.
If your not sure, these are inexpensive enough to give a try! If you need to put a collar on your cat, I think these are one of the best options available!

Good idea but poor construction Feb 10, 2008
By Ms.Bane I really liked the concept of this collar. The soft and rounded fabric looked like it would be very comfortable on a cat. I ordered 3 collars but was very disappointed with them. The snap apart feature was so hard to come apart that the collar itself broke away from the snap rendering the whole thing useless. This happened on two of the three collars. The 3rd one was also hard to snap apart but at least the collar stayed connected. The metal tubes that are used to adjust the size of the collar are bulky and don't look comfortable for a cat. The collar slides very easily through them but so easily that it appears the collar would not hold its size once it was placed on the cat. Also, these metal tabs are open on the ends making it possible for your cat to catch a claw inside one of the open ends if it scratches its neck. I returned all 3 collars and would never buy this product again.

Best Collar Ever! Jan 08, 2008

I have tried so many collars for my big male cats. They always scratch and shred the nylon ones, the leather ones wear their fur away and sometimes leave sores, and one of my cats won't wear one at all if he can feel it on his neck. I decided to try this collar on the advice of a friend. I was so surprised! My cats don't even know they're wearing it! It looks nice (it's so narrow that sometimes you can't even see it in their fur) and it's sturdy. Two of my cats have had them for over a year and they look like brand new. I just bought one for a third cat and she doesn't even notice it! The breakaway feature works well. She snagged it on a piece of furniture and it came right off. I simply picked it up and put it right back on. Kudos to the manufacturer for making an excellent and attractive product!

Not Safe Aug 31, 2007
By Charles Hintlian I bought two of these collars but I am afraid to use them as the aluminum ferrules are so tight that it takes a lot of force to slide them. The weight of the cats is not enough to make the collar open. They would hang and strangle if the collar got caught.
