Working in animal rescue for over thirty years, I have come across dogs with skin problems many times. This shampoo works wonderfully to clean and deodorize these dogs. It left their skin improved and their coats silky and shiny. I highly recommend this shampoo. It works better than the expensive shampoos the vet sold me.

When we got our Yorkie mix he had such a bad dry skin condition that he had dandruff type flakes all the time. When I took him to the groomer for the first time she bathed him in oatmeal shampoo thinking that it would help. Well that made it worse! So when I told her she said to switch him to this shampoo because it is soap-less. It worked miracles! The first time I bathed him it cleared his skin right up and the itching stopped. It says to lather the dog up and leave it on 5-10 mins before rinsing. I did that the first time but now that his skin is under control I just leave it on a minute or two before rinsing when I bathe him now. The vet told me it was good to keep using it too because soap-less shampoo is better for them and doesn't strip their topical flea meds off as quickly as regular shampoo does. It has a very light apple scent to it and leaves the dog smelling fresh and cleaned but not "perfumed". I can not say enough good about this product.

I purchased this shampoo for my pug. He constantly scratching due to seasonal allergy. It does not dry up his skin after the bath. However, it does not have the cool soothing feeling like other medicated shampoo. So, I use it in combine with another medicated shampoo which has the cooling feel. I found it to be more preferable that way and my pug feels more relief after the bath. This shampoo does leave the fur more softer after using this shampoo. And do keep my pug's scratching down between baths.

I had moderate success with this shampoo. It helped, but did not eliminate the itching and scratching. For more severe issues, which my dog had, you may want to try something more medicated. However, this is a good shampoo for regular use.

My long-hair cat had developed a severe case of dandruff and previous attempts to remedy the problem using other products were unsuccessful. I purchased this shampoo (and conditioner), hopeful, but expecting to be disappointed once again. I first shaved the cat and then followed that by using the shampoo and conditioner. Amazingly and surprisingly, ONE good wash seems to have corrected the problem. I will use this product religiously going forward. Well worth the money.
