"Kungfukitten"
Both my cats love this toy and it's unusual to find a single toy that appeals to both of them. The center of the toy has velcro so you can open it up and stuff in fresh catnip and then it's like a whole new toy. The cats like the four dangly legs and find it easy to throw in the air or carry around with them. It also skids along nicely on linoleum or handwood floors. They also enjoy the squirrel and chipmunk by the same manufactuerer but this is by far their favorite.

Our cat loves this toy! It has an excellent design that allows him to carry it in his mouth or throw it into the air. The catnip pouches are well designed and look similar to a tea bag. Their sealed really well, so there is no worrying about the catnip coming loose. The velcro attaches securely to ensure the catnip pouches don't fall out of the toy. This is a well thought out product line, and we will be purchasing more toys for our little guy to enjoy!

Cat Kong Daddy Pompom Legs / B0006L0TGS
I think I must have picky cats - they fuss a lot for attention, like they are bored, but whenever they get a new toy, they play with it obsessively for the first ten minutes and then never touch it again. It's frustrating, but I thought that maybe the quality of the toys were the problem, and I tossed down for several nice Kong toys, remember how much the puppy had liked them.
I don't know where Kong gets their catnip, but it must be the cat kingdom's version of 'military-grade' because my cats always go nuts smelling a new Kong toy. Their noses perked up and started sniffing the air the moment I brought the Amazon box inside. The Daddy Pompom has an internal pouch, reachable by a velcro opening on the underside, so I opened the pouch and poured a teaspoon or so of catnip into the toy and closed it up. The cats practically *attacked* the poor toy as soon as it hit the ground - and to the credit of Kong workmanship, the toy held up surprisingly well. After a frenzy of 20 minutes or so, the toy was wet and gnawed, but the catnip was still safe inside and all the limbs were attached. I decided to put Daddy Pompom away for a little while, and then refill and repeat.
Emptying and refilling it is something of a chore, though. Because the catnip is inside the toy in a loose form, when you open the velcro pouch and shake it out over the trash can, the loose catnip clings to the edges and gets caught in the velcro teeth. It would almost make more sense, I think, to have a perforated (to let the scent through) plastic ball or bag that fits inside the pouch and can be lifted out and cleaned thoroughly in the sink or something. At any rate, I hope that Kong continues to improve on a sound toy model, as this was definitely a hit with the cats, even if it was a bit tricky for me to refill.

Bought this to see if the cats would play with it, do they ever!! They LOVE it!! We usually have to go search for it because one cat has carried it off somewhere to keep the other cat away from it. This has held up very well considering the cats are very rough on it. They love to pick it up and shake it and knock it across the room. I just wish I had bought two so they could each have one!

my cat doesn't seem to be too interested in it at all unless I play with it with him. I guess it's good for the "bonding" process, but he seems to enjoy the other canip toys that he can destroy easily or cat crazies (especially his version of hockey in the bath tub).
