Not for strong chewers Oct 12, 2007

I bought this toy for my puppy. He is a strong and aggressive chewer. He had this for less than 5 minutes and had already destroyed it. It seems very durable for an average chewer, but do not buy if you need the most resilient toys. The felt is easily torn off, and the rubber underneath does not stand up to any chewing.

A fun toy for dog but did not last. Feb 11, 2009
By PiccoloWeaponX My 5 month old lab/border collie puppy loves squeaky toys. When she received it for Christmas she loved it so much that she destroyed it within hours of having it. The felt on the surface was totally peeled of and the squeaker was ruined very fast. The dumbell also broke off in little pieces and we had to take it away from her, fearing that she would swallow them. Your dog will love this toy, but it won't last very long.

Good size, lots of fun Sep 27, 2007

Wasn't sure how big these would be, but they are perfect for my dogs (140 lbs and 100 lbs). They aren't going to last forever, but we'll get a few months, which is better than most toys. They make a loud squeak, so if that will bother you, beware! We are using these as outdoor toys. So far, so good. I wish I had ordered a dozen instead of two.

Kong toys Jan 30, 2009

Our 4-month old pups were given the Squeaker tubular tennis toy. Within a week the squeaker was dead and one end was completely chewed off the toy--the latter happened in the space of a couple of hours, it was fine one minute and later that day it was destroyed. I never found the squeaker and can only pray no intestinal problems develop from it. I have yet to find a toy that stands up to a teeething puppy. We have the rubber teething Kong for puppies and they don't like it at all. We have the rubber teething stick(s) and small pieces get chewed off constantly. We have the "heavy-duty" black and red Kong tug-toy and in the first hour pieces of the black handle were all over the floor. As far as durability the best are the Kong rubber bones that can be stuffed. The dogs have a lot of trouble getting the stuffing treat out however

My dog loved it Dec 09, 2007
By mia3mom We picked this up for our new dog who loves bones. He loved catching it, bouncing it to catch it himself, and simply chewing on it. The squeaker (sadly) lasted almost as long as the toy, which bit the dust 3 months later after he had chewed off the outside material. It never got lost, either, unlike most tennis balls.
