5Great Large/Giant Breed Toy  Jul 13, 2010
By Nonabelle "Dog Nut"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R20JK8CP3535L2 My german shepherd puppy loves this ball! He pushes it all around the yard, climbs on top of it, bites at it, and has a lot to say about it. You can see him in action with it in the video. Hilarious vocalizations while he is playing with it, and he doesn't do that with any other toys. It is heavyweight, but not so much so that I can't throw it across the yard for him. This ball is tough, and I am confident that he will still have it as he grows into adulthood. Well worth the purchase price.

3Mixed Review  Mar 03, 2008
By A. Hudson
Our dog LOVES this ball. We really don't have any complaints with the construction of the ball...but be careful if you have a dog like ours. We have an American Bulldog who loves toys, but also loves to destroy them. There is a plug at the top of the ball to fill it with water, sand, etc. and it's recessed so that the dogs can't pull the plug. But our dog likes to hook his bottom teeth into the recessed part and then use his top teeth to try and bite it. It has left a ring of teeth marks all the way around the top of the ball. Two concerns: 1) it's hard on his teeth and 2) the teeth marks leave little bits of sharp plastic that then rub on his nose/face when he's rolling it around.

He usually only does this when he gets tired of rolling it and chasing it so we try to stop him before it happens (he only plays with it while supervised)

4Truly interactive, confounding dog toy  Sep 17, 2008
By JBinMD
I have a large lab mix (82.5#) and he loves balls. Anything rubber or plastic, he eats up. So, I've gotten to really enjoy these Jolly brand hard plastic items ~ he adores their teaser ball and has the best time with it with or without human involvement (check it out). This ball he must play with on his own because it is hard for humans to pick up and throw since it is so large and he cannot pick it up (thus the name push-n-play) and it would be great if he didn't keep rolling it out of our property boundaries where he then stands and barks for it! (we have an e-fence)

When he keeps it in bounds, he pushes and plays for hours of fun. and, he cannot destroy it! YEAH!

5Excellent toy for herding breeds  Dec 26, 2010
By M. Kauffman "loving life"
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3WBJX208VQT0 This is our Bouvier des Flandres on the first day she got the Jolly Ball. She will "herd' this ball around the yard until she can no longer stand. The ball is durable, easy to clean and I can testify that it is resistant to very large, sharp dog teeth. This ball is worth every penny. Our Bouvier is about 65 lbs and the ball is just the right size.

5The 14" is not recommended for dogs, but the 10" is great  Oct 08, 2009
By Rebecca Au
I would recommend the 10" ball for dogs and the 14" ball for horses and zoo animals.

I bought the 10" and 14" balls. Even though I feel the 14" ball is to big for a dog, my 90-pound pit-chow mix plays with both in different ways. These are very hard plastic balls and not the rubber like jolly balls sold by Petco. Do not try to kick the balls with your toe, or it will hurt. Use the inside of your foot or the bottom of your foot. My dog has tried his best, but could not bite it, chew it, claw it, pop it, or pick it up. He figured out he could push the big ball around the yard with his nose or push the small ball through his back legs with his front paws. The only problem is when my dog tears up the shrubs that stop his ball from rolling. I took the 10" ball to the dog park, and a pitbull was so fixated on killing it; he managed to gouge some shallow groves in the ball where he tried to pull out the plug without success. The pit played with it for about an hour until his owner took it away from him because his mouth was bleeding form the sharp edges of the grooves he made. The owner asked me where he could get one when h saw his pit exhausted. If you take it to the dog bark, make sure you warn everyone not to kick it. They are not too heavy to pick up and throw. I am a 50 year old woman and can pick up even the 14 inch ball.

If you dogs has strong jaws like a pitbull, I suggest you supervise their play time to make sure they don't cut their mouth on the grooves they make.
