Product works very well! Dec 10, 2010
By Paul Thacker Been using the Seaclone 100 as a hang-on a 36 gallon tank for about 2 months, and have had no problems. It removes scum very effectively, and is easy to empty. The quick disconnect makes it easy to remove the intake tube, leaving the pump attached to the tank, and simply lift the unit off the tank for cleaning. As for adjustments, I simply leave the air intake almost completely open, just snug enough to keep the valve from falling out, and it works perfectly. As for long term reliability I'll just have to see, but don't see any reason to dislike this unit. If it only had a surface skimmer I would give it 5 stars.

Had 2 for years Oct 21, 2009
By Jason Pedersen I've used a SeaClone100 hanging on back of a 55-gal for about 10 years and it works fine. Keep the O-Rings fresh, clean the joints, intake and filter and it will last for years. I use another SeaClose100 on an 80-gallon and I have to empty the cup every two weeks. Can't find better in this price range.

Works as advertised Sep 27, 2007
By Troy Jordan I am setting up a reef tank. For a few days I thought it wan't working, but when I added live rock, it started foaming. It was very easy to set up and works fine.

Horrible Unit.....Will break easily May 31, 2010

I purchased two units thinking that I accidentally broke the first one, Every time I would attempt to clean everything the lower fitting would crack/break causing water leak. I would stay away from purchasing this unit.
Works Well! Mar 05, 2012
By RJM I own two of these and both work very well, matter of fact, the latest one starting working day 1, which is unheard of! I am not sure what the difference is between my situations and other who are complaining, but I never have to adjust my air line, and they both skim without issue. I did cut the outside tube down 6" or so to make them in sump units, but that's it. When they start to make any noise at all, I know its time to add water to the tanks, other than that, they are silent.
