The art work on the Henricksen dog bowls are so whimsical and colorful that I couldn't help but purchase two 6" bowls as food bowls for my pups, and a larger one for a water bowl (Dog with Frisbee, Dog with Cat, and Flying Dogs). I really enjoy that all the bowls have designs on the interior and exterior surfaces, and they look great just sitting on the floor! The other review's concerned me about easy chipping, but I have yet to experience that. I would recommend that the bowls be hand washed to keep the vibrant colors in tact.

For some reason, when I saw this on Amazon, I assumed it was made of plastic... when it arrived I was very pleased to see it is a nice, sturdy ceramic. Very colorful - my cat seems to like it. It's not a deep bowl, but definitely holds enough cat food for one meal.
