Dang! Birdies Galore Jul 06, 2011
By P.Broadnax First, this was an out-of-pocket purchase, not a freebie thru my Vine membership.
Second, I've been an active birder for about 6 years now. I've used just about everything, including live worms. I want you to know: this peanut suet attracts even the birds which the books say only forage on the ground. Brown thrashers. Eastern towees. Northern Flicker, RedBreasted and Downy Woodpeckers. BlueBirds. BlueJays. CatBirds. Black & White plus RedBreasted NutHatches. The standards (e.g. GoldFitches and Cardinals). Multiple pairs of each hang out in my flythru feeder, multiple times a day, every day. This, after the feeder station sat lonely and ignored, for weeks. The feathered kids love this so much that in addition to putting this peanut suet into the woodpecker log, I now also set one out flat - directly within the flythru feeder. Empty within 2-3 days!! Never saw suet go so fast during brutally hot summer months.
I recently moved, so had to re-start the whole pull-birdies deal again. Bottom-line: ordered one case in early June, and I've just placed my order for 2 more cases. Current price is a steal! (Note: I have used peanut suet before, but not this brand. Truly fantastic results. Also have a pedestal bath, with an (aquarium) air pump & air stone to keep the water moving. Birds flit back & forth between 'em.)

I have one of those suet cages in my tree and the birds love the peanut butter one. Little birds cling to the cage (big ones try it also) and they munch away!

Very popular at my feeders Dec 02, 2011
By NatureLover The birds really seem to love this flavor - I've tried others, but they prefer this one.
Regular visitors to this suet include Blue Jays, Downy Woodpeckers, Hairy Woodpeckers, Red-Bellied Woodpeckers, Flickers, Titmice, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Carolina Wrens, and even a Baltimore Oriole!
I use this suet in tray feeders, hanging feeders, and I cut the squares into 4 pieces to use in the log feeders (it's much cheaper than buying suet "rods" for the log feeders.)
Highly recommended.
try something else May 11, 2012
By cincinnati Jake I have found less expensive and higher quality products at stores nearby. The birds don't seem to like it and I will be looking elsewhere for my next carton of suet.
