5Getting InT Touch With Your Cat  Feb 08, 2008
By NJ Grandmother
Whether your cat is the most well-adjusted animal ever, or neurotic and nervous, there will always be times, like going to the vet, when calming and communication from the owner will help. I can't recommend the T Touch more highly. I was doubtful, but it has enormously helped my terrified Persian rescue, so I even used it on my 15-yr. old Himalayan with excellent results.

5TTouch with Your Cats: Informative with Lots of Beautiful Pictures  Dec 27, 2010
By E. Eells "Married with cats and dogs"
I purchased Getting in TTouch with Your Cat so I could bond with my cats and help my older cat Sandy be more comfortable. Sandy has back pain and from time to time, he loses his balance.

I read the book over a number of nights with my cats sleeping beside me. After the first few nights of reading, I started to practice on Sandy. He didn't seem to dislike it but he also didn't seem as excited about it as the cats in the book.

I decided to review the instructions again to verify I was doing it right and get a better understanding of the various types of TTouch. When I reread the book, I realized I needed to be more conscientious about starting in the 6 o'clock position and doing a full circle and a quarter of movement. I also became intrigued by the various types of TTouch and how they help different situations.

The next time I practiced on Sandy, I noticed he looked back at me far more than usual when I was doing the TTouch. He seemed to really want to look me in the eyes and let me know he enjoys the new type of petting. Since that time, Sandy has been more demanding then usual of my attention and he seems to feel better in general. He seems more comfortable moving, running and leaping. When we gave the cats our Christmas presents of cat nip toys, Lacy and Sandy acted like kittens. Sandy shook his little toy back and forth in his mouth and rolled around on his back.

I have also used the TTouch on our other cat Lacy, who has only lived with us for eight months. Lacy has integrated into our home beautifully and is really bonded with Sandy. However, from time to time, I have noticed she seems to miss her prior people. Initially, Lacy didn't seem that interested in the TTouch but after the first two sessions, she started to really purr when I did the TTouch. She has also become more social and interested in being stroked. She visits us more frequently and stays in one place for the the TTouch for longer periods of time.

5Amazing  Jul 01, 2011

This book is amazing and even for a novice it has such good advice to help your kitty. I will always be grateful for the tips that gave such comfort to my kitty Rusty when he was dying of lymphoma cancer. Thank you to the author.

Well-written book, easy to understand instructions and pictures. My cats instantly relaxed when I tried a few of the Touches. We now do 5 minutes a night, and they look forward to it.
