The amount of loose hair removed is astounding and the pets love it! Nov 08, 2008
By Mike Gunn We have four dogs and six cats. To say that there is a lot of fur flying around the house is an understatement. We have tried all kinds of brushes to no avail. Initially, I saw an ad for a competing product of the FurBuster (the Furimator). After looking around and doing some comparisions, I decided to go with the FurBuster (I will explain farther on).
The amount of hair that came off our animals was astounding. I didn't think that a cat (5 to 15 pounds) or dog (Schipperkes, mutt and Springer Spaniel/Australian Sheep Dog mix) could have so much hair removed without any ill effects. They say that one brushing a month is all you need to do. All of the pets love the device. In fact, we have a problem with a couple of our cats shoving their way to the "front of the line" when they see the dogs getting brushed.
I went with the FurBuster over the Furminator because the FurBuster is cheaper. Also, you can get differant width brush heads that will fit the FurBuster handle. With the Furminator, you need to get a different handle for each width of brush.
Lastly, I did read a caveat from someone else about these brushes that makes sense. They said that the brushes were so efficient at removing loose hair and/or the undercoat that their dog got chilled when swimming even when it was quite warm (85 degrees). That is something I will take into account this summer if I take the dogs to the water. Most likely, I will give the dogs a good brushing about mid May and then not do it again until September.

wow May 27, 2008
By Lee Ann Mathias I work in a busy Groom Shop where we use the Furminator every day i saw this and tried it is is every bit as good as the Furminator for home applications thoughjt i probably wouldn't recommend it for a professional groomer but it works well in my home

The Best Dog Brush EVER! May 05, 2008

I was looking for something to help the incredible shedding issue that our newly adopted pug had this spring. I bought this in hopes of getting more hair out than other rake type combs. IT IS AMAZING! It gets out so much hair! I was shocked to see the clumps that came off my pug! It greatly reduced the loose hair left around the house. I am recommending it to all of my family & friends!

Works very well on my small short hair dog while it sheds his puppy hair. I was debating whether to buy this or the FURminator but received this in pink (small dog)as a gift. Very amazed to see the amount of hair it removes. Bamboo products are great! Loves how it looks too!

great brush Jun 20, 2009
By P. Heintz I just bought this brush for my two long hair cats and got so much fur off them I think I have three now, ha ha. I have tried other brushes and slickers and none have worked this good. My cats loved it and look great. I am not a groomer so maybe I wasn't using the correct brushes before? I probably went through half the brushes down the cat aisle at the grocery store before I spent a little more and got way better results! I used it on my dog too and got a ton of hair off.
