My old 304 has been loud for at least 8 months or so and it was getting loud and rattled. I replaced this part with not much faith that it would help but the price was low. Now my 304 is like new and sounds like my new 305 next to it (duel tank set up). I had replaced a broken ceramic rod and the plastic clip on holder before and it still rattled until I replaced the impeller. I'm average joe, don't have any special interest in the company etc. I just wanted to share that it worked for me.

Filter had been making a clicking sound for a couple weeks. Was about to get a new filter but then I stumbled upon the suggestion to replace the impeller. Glad I did. After replacing rattling sound is completely gone.

I thought I'd have to buy a whole new filter but so happy I found this store on Amazon that sells just these parts for relatively inexpensive prices. Totally saved my system.

This impeller fit perfectly and it was very easy to install. I thought I had a bigger problem with my filter but found it was just the impeller and now all works perfectly.
