I love the light. My bird is so much happier since we put the light on her cage. She plays more and her feathers are so much brighter now than they ever were. I recommend that anyone who has a bird should mount a light to their cage. Very easy to mount. The company is extremely easy to deal with and very knowledgeable about the needs of a Bird. Definitely would buy another light.

Great UV Light! The best for birds Jul 25, 2011

I was in the market for a full-spectrum UV light for my birds and had looked around without deciding on one for some time. When I discovered the FeatherBrite light that clamps on the cage, I knew it was the one for us. We've been using it now for a few months, and it really is wonderful. We have light, but it's limited to certain hours of the day and nowhere near enough overall. With this light clamped right on the cage, I'm able to set a bedtime and wake-up schedule. And, as others have noted, my birds feathers are healthier and brighter overall. With the extended summer days, we've been in full molt. I see pictures of other peoples' birds when they're in molt, and most of the time, those individuals feel the need to explain that their birds look not-so-perfect because they're molting. I think the full-spectrum lighting has kept my birds from looking raggedy. They are also more active with the regular light, and overall just healthier. I highly recommend this product for bird owners. In fact, I've seen people ask about it, and I could only share positive things with them.

This light is perfect for birds not privy to a lot of sunlight. With winter coming my parakeets were sitting in the shadows more and more. They love this light and clamor if I don't get it turned on as soon as they hear me up in the morning. They are playing more & their feathers are brighter. Makes a bird mommy feel better too :) We all highly recommend this light. The cord is positioned out of reach of little beaks. The whole light is so easy to assemble & we also love the bulb that came with it.

I received this light from my husband for Christmas & it's my favorite gift. I do some rescue work with birds and since I've used this light on their cages they are much happier and preen a lot more. They also look better and more comfortable. I would like to have severalFeatherBrite White Capitol Universal Light instead of moving it around to each cage, but it is very easy to attach. Very good product.

I have owned several different bird lights over the years. Ultimately the clamps fall apart, and the light is history. This one is different! It's well made, which is always a plus. Looks exactly like the picture, and is solid, not cheap and flimsy. I love the way it sits securely on top of our conure's domed cage. The bulb does not get hot like some others, and illuminates her cage very well. She is much happier now. I swear, she was getting the winter blues, and now she's active and playing all day. I highly recommend this light. Don't waste your money on cheap lights and bulbs that fall apart quickly - invest in a decent light and see the difference in your bird!
