Super 14 for Skin and Coat - produces a superb and shiny coat in German Shepherd Dogs Feb 24, 2012

I have been giving Super 14 to my German Shepherd Dogs for a year now. They have awesome coats now! We have a male puppy who was constantly chewing and destroying everything he could get his teeth into - rather like cribbing in horses. Now that we have been using Super 14 he has settled down and isn't destroying the house, walls, crates, kennels, etc. As Dr. Joel Wallach points out - cribbing or excessive need for chewing is a sign of mineral deficiencies. Dr. Wallach points out the links of many of these deficiencies in all of his books, particularly Diseases of Exotic Animals: Medical and Surgical Management and Hell's Kitchen: Causes, Prevention and Cure of Obesity, Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome. The 20 pound bucket of Super 14 is very economical for households with horses or many large dogs. Perhaps order some to split with a neighbor or friend with large dogs.
Per the packaging, Super 14 Contains: Corn oil, soybean oil, soy bean flour, dextrose, Vitamin A acetate, zinc methionine complex, dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E source - synthetic!), pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6), calcium silicate, sodium selenite, mixed tocopherols, citric acid and ascorbic acid as preservatives and artificial flavorings.
Super 14 would be a 5 star product if it included more vitamins and minerals as well as OMEGA 3 essential fatty acids.
