5excellent value  Oct 10, 2007
By Maggie
This whip is an excellent value for the money. It's very light so driving with it is easy. It also has very good balance. It's exactly the size to drive my Icelandic horse who is 13 hands. As an added bonus, it really is good looking.

5A great carriage whip  Jun 01, 2009
By Julie Clements "Equine aficionado"
This is a lightweight, well-balanced whip for horse driving. The handle is 1/2 inch diameter, which is a little loose for my cart's whip holder, but it does stay in.

The seller packaged it very well and it arrived within 1 week.

This is a great value, and is highly recommended.

1You get what you pay for!!  Jun 29, 2011

I ordered the whip to help when I need to move my cows. It broke after about two uses. It was flimsy and light weight so it would not pop. Next time I buy something of this sort, I will want to buy it at a store where I can see it first.

5Let this be a reminder to the US automotive industry  Jan 30, 2009
By Michael A. Duvernois
Yes, the horses and buggies have left most of our towns, but the buggy whips makers are still around. Just smaller than they used to be. There's no shame in that.

Likewise the US auto industry will survive their dreadful choices and fearful obsolescence. Decades from now there will be a little office in Detroit with a GM label on the door. They'll import nostalgic bits from China for those who have kept their Escalades in old barns to frighten the kids.

Alternately, you could use this as a sex toy. Just sayin'.
