Chlorhexidine PS Shampoo is formulated with antiseptic foaming solution containing chlorhexidine and phytosphingosine salicyloyl (0.05%), lipacide c8g (2.5%) and chlorhexidine(3%). Chlorhexidine has strong antiseptic activity. Phytosphingosine salicyloyl is a modified pro-ceramide which possesses antiseborrheic properties to control cutaneous disorders associated with pyoderma. The lipo-amino-acid activity complements that of chlorhexidine. The Lipacide also acts as a moisturizing and restructuring agent by allowing a lipo-protein film to deposit on the skin. This longlasting film resists rinsing, and thus protects the skin from irritations and loss of moisture. Directions: Wet the animal with warm water and apply Douxo Chlorhexidine PS Shampoo extensively on the fur to create a rich lather. Massage the shampoo into the wet hair coat, lather freely. Allow to remain on hair coat for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. To be used in the management of superficial and severe skin conditions responsive to chlorhexidine.

Our 12 year old dog has BAD enviromental allergies during the spring/summer, where she is constantly itching and biting herself which results in hair loss and small open sores. We have been using Malaseb shampoo in the past but this year the allergies were exceptionally bad so after reading about it amazon.com and the user reviews I decided to try it. It is AMAZING, Cleo's itching decreased dramatically after the first bath and even more so after the 2nd bath in 1 week. MALASEB shampoo NEVER worked this good!!! Make sure you follow the directions so you will have the results you are paying for! We are going into our third week and Cleo has no open sores, the itching has decreased 90% , her coat is soft with a nice shine to it and she has no scaly skin patches. Instead of rolling out in the dirt and leaves to constantly scratch her back --now she spends most of her outdoor time on her pillow on a shaded porch. It is expensive but WORTH EVERY PENNEY....am online now to order another bottle just so we have a "back-up"!!!!

My ShihTzu was about to scratch himself apart and my neighbor told me she had bought this product from her VET. I went online and ordered it and used it twice and he has finally stopped scratching! It is worth every penny!

I puchased this shampoo because my dog had to be taken to an allergist vetrinarian. She had yeast infection all over her body and took 5 months to get rid of and gets oily fur and itches due to food allergys. When we tried this shampoo it really helped and we got rid of yeast infection and we now use this on her every 5 days . It does'nt dry her skin out nor is to harsh on her skin, and her fur has grown all back in and thicker, I even had to thin some of her fur. She is a sheltie. It has an antiseptic in it so if she starts to scratch it helps for any infection. I told my regular vet about it and suggested he recommend this shampoo to his clients that have dogs with allergys. Very pleased with results.

I never write reviews, but this product works so well just had to respond. We had tried several different brands of shampoo, but this one hands down worked the best. Our cocker spaniel had been itching with many skin sores and rash. All gone. Make sure you are using good tick and flea product as well.

My vet recommended this for my chihuahua when she got mange and it worked wonders. I bathed her twice a week for a month and made sure to leave it on the full 5 minutes and within days she had stopped itching. Now her hair is growing back and she looks like a dog again. If I had known I could have bought this product on amazon for half the price it would have saved me a $100 vet bill!
