All 87 Breed Dog Grooming for the beginner Aug 25, 2001
Not what I'd expected. It does a good job as far as bathing and grooming some dogs. Too general for dogs that need actual clipping and cutting. Average of 2 pages per dog. This book was written for Oster brand clipper users. It suggests what size Oster clippers to use for each dog. Here are a list of all the dogs in case you are still interested. Affenpinscher; Afghan Hound; Airedale Terrier; Akita; Alaskan Malamute; Australian Terrier; Basset Hound; Beagle; Bearded Collie; Bedlington Terrier; Border Terrier; Borzoi; Boston Terrier; Bouvier des Flandres; Boxer; Brittany Spaniel; Bulldog; Cardigan Welsh Corgi; Chesapeake Bay Retriever; Chihuahua(long coat); Chihuahua(smooth coat); Chow Chow; Cocker Spaniel(American); Cocker Spaniel(English); Collie(rough coat); Collie(smooth coat); Dachshund(long coat); Dachshund(smooth coat); Dachshund(wire coat); Dalmatian; Doberman Pinscher; English Setter; English Springer Spaniel; Flat-coated Retriever; Fox Terrier(smooth); Fox Terrier(wire); French Bulldog; German Shepherd Dog; German Shorthaired Pointer; German Wirehaired Pointer; Golden Retriever; Great Dane; Greyhound; Irish Setter; Italian Greyhound; Keeshond; Kerry Blue Terrier; Labrador Retriever; Lhasa Apso; Minature Schnauzer; Newfoundland; Norwegian Elkhound; Old English Sheepdog; Pekingese; Pembroke Welsh Corgi; Pointer; Pomeranian; Poodles(dutch, kennel, lamb, puppy, royal, summer, town & country clips); Pug; Rottweiler; Samoyed; Scottish Terrier; Sealyham Terrier; Shetland Sheepdog; Shih Tzu; Siberian Husky; Silky Terrier; Skye Terrier; Staffordshire Bull; Standard Schnauzer; Vizsla; Weimaraner; Welsh Terrier; West Highland White Terrier; and Yorkshire Terrier.

Excellent Reference and Money Saver Sep 24, 2000
By John W. Hopkins This book has been absolutely wonderful. We have two dogs and we were spending $60.00 plus per month on dog grooming. We bought this book to see if it would help us groom our dogs ourselves. We were not disappointed. My husband groomed both of our dogs following the instructions for the cute teddy bear clip. Just today in the pet store, another customer asked my husband where he had the dogs groomed because they were groomed so nicely and looked so cute. No this book doesn't have every breed in and it doesn't claim to have them all. However, it does have most breeds and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone considering home grooming. This book has paid for itself!

Attention Bichon Frise owners Aug 04, 2000
By Mary Lou Roszhart I found this book a good general work with excellent diagrams and instructions, but NOT ALL BREEDS are covered, so beware. I wanted a guide to grooming my bichon, and they are not included!

I found it useless Feb 19, 2003
This is probably the worst book I have ever read. The general information on grooming was short and superficial. I was looking for information on clippers and blades and this had almost no information in 6 paragraphs. The coverage on each breed is so short that it is useless.

All 87 Breed Dog Grooming for the Beginner Aug 14, 2005
By Maria S. Smith I have Shih-Tzu's and thought that this might be the book that I was looking for so I can groom my own babies. The book is very in depth and overall a good reference for over all grooming but not for Shih-Tzu's. Did not cover all the aspects for grooming that kind of breed so I was disappointed. I did, however, keep the book but am still looking.
