This is one of the best carriers we've had. Having to replace our cat carrier due to fire, we chose this one and could not be more pleased. A blessing, the fire - if you can understand that in this one case. It is strong, durable, well made and very easy to get a cat into.

I received this carrier and just finished assembling it. (Which was easy) I put it down on the floor next to the Amazon box and my cat walked over, climbed in, and went to sleep. I say- quite an endorsement.

this is a great product for a small dog. I had to have my husband assemble it, I'm not good with just following a photo to put things together. It's very sturdy and well built with a secure door. we just love it!

It was simple to piece this together (no tools, just snap in place); however, one of the snapping pieces is warped and doesn't fit properly - it took maneuvering to get it to clasp. My cat is comfortable in it, which turns out to be a good thing, because he was stuck in it while I had to take it apart to get him out as the door would not open. The top spring-loaded door latch malfunctioned. So, after taking it apart to release Stevie to the wilds of my kitchen, I fiddled and finally forced with extreme pressure the latch and it snapped open. However, I don't know that this piece of tupperware with a metal door will be used again. I think it needs to be sent back.

I have a few Cayman crates as well as vari kennels. I like how sturdy the cayman's are and I really like how easy it is to unlatch the top to pack it up for storage or cleaning. I was tossing one of my crates into my car in a rainstorm. I accidentally droped the door and ran it over. Goodbye little plastic tabs to open the door. I actually thought I ruined the door. I couldn't find replacement doors anywhere on line so I called the company. They sent me a replacement door as well as some of those little plastic tabs. It turns out they are easy to replace. It also turns out that my other door was fine other than those broken tabs. The most likely thing to break on any crate is the door opening device. Now I know that I can fix it myself and that the company really stands behind the crates. I have been thinking about getting another crate and I now know for sure that it will be another Cayman.
