Looks great but runs small! Sep 27, 2009
By Tracy It's a great costume, but please do note that it runs quite small. The L just barely goes around my 40 lb. Springer Spaniel.

vizslaowner Oct 08, 2011
By Rebster This is super cute but like the other reviews say - definitely runs small.
I got this in large for my Vizsla - a 60 pound dog that I usually refer to as 'medium sized' for those of you unfamiliar with the breed picture a small weimeriner. Anyway - I was shocked when I got the package and it said Vizlas were actually in the extra large category. lesson learned this runs about two sizes smaller than i would have expected - I was going with large because the reviews said it runs small but i should have actually gone extra large. If you are wondering what the size lis t is by breed i dont think it was in the description but this is what the company that makes it lists as breed sizing:
Note: If the dog has a stout build, select one size larger. Recommended sizing by breed:
XX-Small: Teacup and dogs under 5 lbs
X-Small: Australian Terrier, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, Yorkshire Terrier
Small: Boston Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Maltese, Pug, Silky Terrier
Medium: Bichon Frise, Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Corgi, Scottish Terrier
Large: Brittany Spaniel, Bulldog, Collie, Schnauzer, Springer Spaniel
X-Large: Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, Vizsla
XX-Large: Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Mastiff, Newfoundland, St. Bernard
I was able to squeeze the Vizsla into the large but its a bit small for him.

Cute costume but runs super small Nov 01, 2008
By DogLover I bought this product in size Large for my Golden Retriever. She is 60 lbs and the costume was still too small for her. Cute costume but didn't fit. I couldn't return it since I had my dog try it on(they don't accept returns if it has any evidence it was touched by an animal).

The Lobster of Shame - Great for disciplining your dog Jun 03, 2010
By Michael L. Donnelly About a month ago a went home only to find my (wife's)2 year old Labrador retriever gnawing away at my super-expensive Berluti loafers. Well, instead of breaking out into a cuss-laden rage, I conjured up a more imaginative way to punish him. My wife tortures to poor fella by dressing him up for holidays such as Christmas and Halloween, so I went and got this ridiculous lobster outfit that she made him wear one Halloween when she took him trick or treating with our 6 year old son. Once I put it on him, he immediately flew into a rage trying to rip it off. His rage eventually turned into despair as he would whine and give me that "have pity on me" look and I made him wear it for a week straight. Granted, we did receive a lot of curious inquires from the neighbors as to why our dog looked like a sea-faring animal, and my wife wasn't that amused by it. But I think ol' Sparky got the hint. Now every time I take of my shoes and set them by the dog, he gets up and bolts away. Thanks sweet Jesus!
Adorable! Jan 21, 2012
By Jolly This was just so gosh darn cute on my black pug! Loved it! Because of the reviews I read about this running small I decided to go for a size Large even though 'small' was the recommendation for Pugs. But he is stocky, pudgy pug so I was worried about getting something too small. Large was definately too big for a Pug, even a fat one(22-25lbs). I was able to sew it up a bit so it was still quite usuable and adorable but a Medium would be the most ideal size.
