The boot jack works well, however this one, made in china, came with chipped paint. Their charge for postage was high, making it more expensive than other sources for the same item. I didn't feel it was worth the hasel of returning it. Rob

neighbors used to have one when I was growing up and I thought it was an odd thing until I grew up and realized how convenient. I had to have one for myself! Makes removal of boots so easy. No more struggling to pull them off at awkward angles or askinn my husband to help. He would nearly pull my leg out of joint every time. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for similar items.

We bought this as a Father's Day gift. This is a great product. The beetle is beautiful with lots of detail; it adds a little quirk to your outside decor. It works great for low heeled boots, like rain boots. My 2 year old daughter and my husband and I all use it. The jack is a little low to the ground so it doesn't work so well for high heeled boots, like higher heeled western boots. For that, my husband just moves it to the edge of the stoop. He likes it so much that he doesn't mind that extra step and doesn't want us to get him another one. My daughter LOVES it!
