The birdcage comes unassembled - but is easy to put together. (30 minutes at the most) It is HUGE and my 2 Parakeets love all of the extra play area and the 4 perches! I can not beleive the low price for this item. At a store, I am sure I would have had to pay at least $150.00!

My cage arrived quite promptly and the box it arrived in had the same catalog number as expected, but the cage had been removed from the box before shipping. The cage still looks brand new, but the box was shortened by about three inches and the packaging was torn pieces of cardboard instead of the cushion packaging I would have expected. I thank Fed-Ex that the contents arrived undamaged. There was no item list and no assembly instructions in the repacked box. I hope Xtreme-Cages will send me the instructions.
The cage itself is beautiful and I'm sure I will be very pleased with it in the future once it is put together, but I can't rate it 5 stars with this packaging.

Origanally received wrong (smaller) cage but Xtreme Cages has been extremely cooperative and is replacing the cage with the correct one. The wrong cage was easy to assemble even though there were no directions. Xtreme Cages has asked me to donate the wrong cage to charity.

I am certain that this will be a good birdcage once I get it put together --- IF I EVER DO.
The company does not provide instructions to assemble. I saw that in previous reviews and figured - "eh, how hard can it be to put together a birdcage?"
It is EXTREMELY difficult and non-intuitive. You're flying blind.
Neither the company that manufactured the product (YML) or the company that is re-distributing it in cheap ripped-up cardboard packaging (Xtreme Cages aka Desmond Pet Depot) has any website presence to explain how to put this together.
If you call the manufacturer via the 800 number on the side of the box ... once you wheedle your way past the language barrier ... they will tell you flat out - they don't HAVE assembly instructions. And these are the people who made it!
They will also tell you to call the distributor. Good luck finding that number. No links to Desmond Pet Depot or Xtreme Cages online. No phone number, and emails to them are ignored.
Caveat emptor. You paid a low price, and you're left swinging in the wind. This is one of those purchases that makes me wish there was a LOWER rating than one star to signal my extreme dissatisfaction.
It has also shaken my faith in Amazon to the core. They have been apprised of this exact problem in reviews previous to mine. Why are they allowing companies that have ZERO followup customer service to hawk their wares on Amazon?

Great cage and great service. It arrived within 10 days of ordering. No directions came with the cage, however I figured out the cage part but not the stand part. No problem. I sent an email and within 2 hours received helpful photos. Uncle Babe, our cockatiel, loves it and is now singing beautiful songs we've never heard. Buy this cage it's great.
