I purchased this feeder about ten years ago, and I lost track of it when I moved. I bought a new one, and it is the best feeder around if you vacation for an extended period of time. The top portion holds two weeks of food, and sits on top of the water well. The water well holds 5 gallons of water and stays cool, since the top portion insulates it and there is continuous water flowing in due to the hose attachment. The renter of my old house recently left, and I found my old feeder. It is none the worse for wear after all of these years, and now I have two.

WE LOVE IT !!! However, I give you a 4 star because, we bought the large size and we have a large dog, the water dish area is to small for large dogs. Our dog manages, but makes a big mess because the trough is to small, also you need a place to house the plug so it doesn't get lost. It is an awesome product though. Thanks so much

I read many reviews for this product before ordering. My main concern was that my smallest dog would have trouble. As it turns out, he was the only one that would eat out of it. My bigger dogs would have nothing to do with it. And if you have an ant issue, as we do in the southwest, they love this product. There is no way to keep them out. It is difficult to fill the water as it is used as the base. It is basically a good product, but didn't work for me.

I Love the the product BUT there needs to be a way to block the door open if needed. I have puppies and when they are in the house they use the feeder and can't get into the food so I drilled 2 holes and ran a piece of Threadall in 1 side and out the other. That made it great for the pups now that the pups are out of the house I can take the bar out. If the company would put 2 push up extenders on the down shoot holders inside so that when up will hold the door open would be perfect.

I have used another brand of feeder (Little Giant) for the past few years. I liked them but the bottom rusted out. So when I found this one I thought it looked good and the reviews looked promising. First of all don't make the same mistake I did. I thought from reviews I had read that you could hook up a water hose up to this and it would let the water flow to a set level and then shut off. My mistake there is no such water shutoff. But that is not where my problem with this thing really lies. It is in the construction of this thing. There is an inner divider that keeps the food up and away from the door. This divider lets only a certain amount of food down to where the dogs can get to it by pushing the door. It works well when that divider is in it's place. But after a few warm days full of food the divider had slipped out of place allowing all the food to fall against the door. That made the door impossible
for the dogs to get to the food. I put the divider back in place thinking maybe it was not right the first time. Well 2 weeks later it happened again. But this time I did not notice it right away. My dogs (3 Golden Retrievers )must of got upset about not being able to get to their food that they started to destroy the feeder. They nearly chewed through the side and top. This could have been bad if I had been gone for a couple of days. I need something more reliable than that. I guess I will go back to the Little Giant
