Toss or wash Nov 04, 2007
By Kleo These are great if you serve dry food but occasionally give a wet food "treat". These do go through the dishwasher nicely if you prefer not to through them away.

Practical, Not Wasteful Nov 02, 2009

I wish people who did not have this product would not review it.
I do not toss my liners every time I feed my cat. In fact, I have not changed the liner since I bought the bowl three weeks ago (and I don't intend to for quite awhile). The liners are rigid, thick plastic, and convenient to pop out of the bowl and clean without taking the entire unit with you. Now, when I want to wash the water bowl, I can leave the food behind. And if I want to clean the unit, I don't have to pour the food out somewhere else, I can just pop the liner out temporarily. I also like the idea that if something does happen to a bowl, you don't have to go out and buy new bowls, you can just toss the damaged liner and pop in a new one.
Also, the 12-oz capacity is perfect for my Maine Coon. He eats it in two days, and no longer gorges on his food like he did with his former larger bowl. All in all, I think it's a great, pratical product.

Great for pet sitters! Jul 04, 2011

I love this product. I have 3 cats and when I go on vacation I don't want my pet sitter having to worry about anything other than feeding and tossing.
LOVE these liners, but hugely overpriced! Jan 13, 2011
By SAPFJP These bowls and disposable liners are wonderful. My four kitties get clean dishes with every meal, so the dishwashers run constantly. These disposable liners make a great backup for those mornings when there are no clean dishes. But, at 42 cents each (with shipping), they are cost-prohibitive for daily use. They melt in the dishwasher, so disposal is the only option. If these were available at a more reasonable price (manufacturing cost must be only 1/2 cent to 1 cent each), I would use them all the time.
Perfect for those who don't have dishwashers! Oct 05, 2010
By A. Albert Can you believe it's the year 2010, and the place that I rent has no dishwasher?? You'd think I would be living in rural Arkansas or something but nope, I live in CA now in the beautiful Central Coast. Apparently dishwashers are scarce here because the landlord will not put one in, and I have talked to dozens of people in the area who have the same problem I do and for this area, it's "normal". Most of the houses here were built in 1940 or even earlier and still have not upgraded. This is why these are perfect, being a new cat owner with new ceramic bowls, cleaning them daily is a CHORE. These are great because they are disposable and I can reuse them if neccesary. So for those of you who think these are for the "lazy" pet owner, I would like to see you come to my house and wash plates, knives, forks, spoons, pots and pans BY HAND. You'll agree that this product is neccessary and if not worth the $$$ instead of wasting time and water. After all, "water is precious here on the central coast" cue TV ad and public service announcement. I will keep repurchasing these until I am done playing little house on the prarie and move to Civilization.
